We all play at least one. PCs or consoles..... its been like that forever...
But why? Why do PC gamers stick with PC and swear never to go to consoles, and vise-versa? (With exceptions...like me ;) )
I think that console-only players only play consoles is because they love simplicity, not in their games, but in initial setup, and being able to just sit down and play a game. No mods, no installations, no having to upgrade your rig to play better games, just play. And also being able to sit down with friends, eat some cheetos, have a few drinks, and just chill playing Halo or Madden. Never having to worry about viruses slowing down gameplay, or shotty software. I think another BIG thing is Exclusives, like mario, zelda, metriod, Halo, Gears, God of war, ect. ect.
And why do PC-only players only play on PCs? Because they love choices. Sacrificing some frames for beautiful-ultra realistic graphics, or speed up a game by doing the opposite. They also love to spend MONEY, (and trust me, as a PC gamer you pay ALOT), to have the best GPU, CPU, Motherboard, Ram, even the case, to show off to your friends, or brag to the whole world. They also have to have the latest technology, Like DX10, and constantly have upgrading Graphics. Take CRYSIS for example. We've all seen the movies or pics of it, and it looks quite stunning. Personally, i dont think that any game on any console this generation will look quite as good as that.
And there are the PC/Console gamers. Like ME :D. I hav a Wii, 360, and an eMachines computer. (Pentium4 @ 3Ghz, GeForce 8600 GT, 1 gig of DDR2 memory and the stock case.) I play them all some-what equally, and enjoy them all very much. With consoles slowly becoming more and more like computers, i think the gap between PC and Consoles with be filled, or, we can have way more cross-console games (Shadowrun) and rage wars against our gaming brethren.
