I don't visit the forums often, so I hope I'm posting this in the right spot.
My PS3 is connected to an HDMI cable. There is no other audio or video cable attached to it. It runs great most of the time, but about once a week when I boot up my PS3 I get a message saying that an HDMI cable has been detected and asking if I'd like my audio and video to go through the HDMI cable. I find it odd that my PS3 would ask that since I'm using my HDMI cable to read that question. I click OK and the screen goes from what looks like 480i to 1080p, which is the resolution I have my PS3 set to output. There's a message asking if I can see everything fine. I click OK and it brings me to the dashboard, which no longer has my theme on it, but after that everything runs okay until this message show up again.
This is a minor annoyance. I can always just put my theme back on the dashboard and the message doesn't show up every time I turn on my system, but it still bugs me. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? I keep checking my settings and my system is set up to use the HDMI cables. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
