Brian you are exactly right. After Katrina, the Bush administration could do nothing right. Makes you wonder how differently this country would feel about him if the Govt. acted more swiftly during that crisis/ Travo_basic

It wasn't just the Bush Administration. it was the LA GVT too. Local and state as well as the people. Thats right, I said the people too. For years here, everytime we had a hurricane coming they would tell everybody pack up and leave this is the big one. So people would pack up everything and leave only to have it miss us. After awhile people got sick of it and would stay. Luck would always be on our side it seemed. Katrina was headed our way and everybody was taking it lightly. Then they all wanted to start leaving the day before it hit and some didn't even leave then. Our Governor at the time Kathleen Blanco was also clueless as can be.

For Gustav though, things went very very well. The buses had everybody gone that needed to leave. They were on the ball for that part this time.

if you really want to end trolls just simply ignore them. a troll feeds off of people getting annoyed and mad at them. So just ignore them and eventually they will wander off somewhere else. That or a mod will catch them once they get enough reports on them and fix them. Thats how I handle them anyway and it works 9/10 times.

yeah Katrina was horrible. I live a little over an hour from the superdome. We didn't get half the damage NO did, but it took about 4-5 days for us to get water and MREs. and a week to get power. The GVT was so slow to react to help anybody. Same thing happen this year with Hurricane Gustav. Granted the damage wasn't a fraction of Katrina, but we were without power for almost a week and didn't get supplies for over 5 days, due to some BS with the GVT. Supposedly somebody high up in out Parish (in LA our counties are called Parishes), didn't sign some fourm for us to recieve supplies.

I have no idea. I would guess that it is a fad right now. Just like when anything comes out. It will die off soon enough.

And before it is mentioned, my name isn't relating to batman or the joker in any way shape or form. Its a reference to ICP and their Joker Cards.

just walk a mile a day. what do you drink? I started walking a mile a day after I recovered from my car wreck last year and only drink water, powerade, and skim milk. after a week I felt 100% better and started losing some weight.

Eating right is a key too. Stop fast food altogether. besides not intaking extra calories and eating all that extra junk, you save a lot of money. Think about it, the average combo meal at burger king or mcdonalds is around 5 bucks. say you eat there 3 times a week. That is 15 bucks on fast food. save that money and see how quick it adds up.If you want fast food, get a wrap from subway. just don't listen to that hype junk about meals delivered to your door or those lose weight quick schemes on TV.

Well they are protective enough, enough so they aren't intrusive and annoying. It's my sister that they are overprotective on, she'll either get sexually assaulted, do drugs, get drunk, well that's what my parents are scared of anyways. They don't really mind all that much, because I'm a male and men don't get raped....for the most part at least.....nonetheless, I'm not saying it's fair but females should take extra precaution in clubs and whatnot...well I guess everyone should be cautious when out in public where there is alchohol.CQCmasta

That just shows your sister is immature and doesn't know how to handle herself. I see girls that just turn 18 or hit 19 and think their first* night at the bar means drinking as much as possible. In return they make an ass of themself and bad stuff happens. You gotta learn your alcohol limit and pick your bars/clubs right. Around here there is good bars to go chill with friends at and maybe meet some people. There are good clubs where you can go to dance and have a good time. Then there is bad bars where you go to get in fights and start trouble. There are bad clubs where men and women go to laid for the night or get some drugs. You just have to learn which places are which and avoid them. Then learn your alcohol limit. and try to remember where your friends are. I'm usually the most sober one out of my friends because they drink a little too much and get rowdy, so I calm them down. In the state of Louisiana, you can get into some bars at 18, incase anybody was wondering.

My mom wasn't (who I lived with), but my dad sure as hell was. If I was going out to a party with friends, my mom would just say have a good time and call to let me know yall made it safely. Call if you need me. If my dad found out I was going, he would give me the 3rd degree and a lecture. "you better not do this and better not do that. you shouldn't even go. Them kids are bad news." Funny thing is, anybody that didn't wear american eagle, polo shirts, and had hair past their ears was bad news to my dad.

My mom just trusted me. She trusted that she raised me right. She knew that I knew/know my limits when drinking and that I use common sense. She allowed me to experience things and be myself. My dad on the other hand wanted to make every decision for me, even to go so far as to try and pick my clothes and say what to wear. Which is why I never went to see him. He pushed me away by doing that.

well I haven't ever watched any of his films but a friend told me Postal wasn't that that that bad. He said there is a part where one of the people that worked on postal has a line and says something like "Damnit, Uwe Boll is ruining my game!"
