Some quick updates....

1. Beat MGS4. What a game, what an ending, the first 10.0 on Gamespot that I fully agreed with!

2. Bought this year's madden, meh...

3. Playing WOW still and can't wait for WOTLK.

4. Fallout 3 looks good, real good.

If I still have a job and the U.S. economy doesn't implode, I should be buying all the new titles soon.

My Number 1 Movie and Game of 2007 is..........

My favorite game this year was Bioshock. When I think of the total gaming experience I think of a game that has an awesome soundtrack, amazing visuals and an engaging story. Bioshock delivers all! The story was cool in that retro way and hearing old songs made you feel as though you were actually there. The gameplay was great but not amazing and probably could have been a tad bit better. Overall the best game experience I had all year.

My favorite movie was Juno. Yeah... well some may say I'm caught up in the hype but the truth is I evaluated this choice based on 1 main factor. If I had watched this movie... lets say 4 months from now on DVD would I have still felt the same way. the answer is absolutely YES. This movie had humor, story.... great characters and a cool soundtrack. The main character played by Ellen Page was outstanding.

So that is my list for 2007.

2008 looks to be so much better.

Movies...

The Dark Knight

IDJ4

Narnia2

Iron Man

Speed Racer

Games.....

MGS4

FF13

GTA4

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

There are so many things to look forward to!

I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and fun New Year!

2008!

Dissapointments of the year....

Assassins Creed and Spiderman 3....

Top Ten Part 3

#7 Game

Supreme Commander

RTS fans rejoice. Chris Taylor brought us this winner. I loved playing this game.

#7 Movie

Knocked Up

Funny, Funny. Funny. I loved this movie.

#6 Game

Halo 3

....it'sHalo dude.....

#6 Movie

The Bourne Ultimatum

The 3rd movie in the series was probably the best. Action was top notch.

#5 Game

Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hour Glass

I loved the touch screen mechanics...

#5 Movie

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Big fan of the books, loved the movie.

Top Ten Part 2

Ok so back to the countdown.

#9 Game

Mass Effect

I honestly creamed my pants when this game was first announced. Having played Knights 1 and 2, I was so excited to play a new Bioware game. Having played this game I can honestly say it is good but not GOY good.

#9 Movie

I am Legend

First off, I read the book. No I'm not the typical... the book was better person, in fact I usually don't read movie boths either way (before or after, I'm more of a Fantasy Wizards book reader exclusively). That being said, I read enough about the movie to know that it was going to deviate from the book. What surpised me was how they changed the ending.... I won't spoil it but let's just say I didnt like the change. I will admit that the movie, 3/4ths anyway, was amazing and worthy of 10 ten for the year. I left the theater happy but this movie could have been higher on the list.

#8 Game

Lunar Knights

The DS is known for wonderful RPG's. I played Zelda and Pokemon this year but this game stood out. I loved the story and characters. I found myself playing this game way too much. It kept me engaged for the most part, only dragging in few spots. I haven't finished it yet but I will soon.

#8 Movie

300

Awesome movie...period. A fanboys dream and full of cool visuals. The story was good.... action was great!

Number 8 and 9 down. What will 7 and 6 bring? Robots? Babies? muahahahahahahahahahahah!

It's that time of year again, TOP TEN.

Well it has been a long but wonderful year. Leading up to the end of the year I will be posting my Top Ten List for games and movies. This year has seen some dissapointments but has delivered some excellent games and films. To begin, # 10 on the list.

# 10 Game:

Super Mario Galaxy

Mario is back with a vengence, or space, or stars, or something! I know everyone is so far onboard this bandwagon it isn't even funny however, looking at this game compared to other smash hits this year leaves me wondering what the hype is about. Sure its a great platformer and does justice to the Mario brand but does it draw you in like other games such as Bioshock or Mass Effect? SMG is certainly the X-mas gift of choice for the kids but doesn't rank higer the 10th place this year. Maybe if I didn't view the Wii as a toy this might have ranked higher.

# 10 Movie:

Beowulf

This movie had its fair share of hype but surpirsingly received mix reviews. Leading up to its release, I was on fence as to if I was going to see it. I took a chance a saw it in 3D. WOW.... I was amazed at how cool it was in 3D. Having never read the book, I was bogged down with the chore of comparing it (see I am Legend). The graphics in the movie were top notch. Overall a great experience.

Stay tuned for # 9.....

Playing WOW

Ive taken a break from the 360 and DS. Playing WOW exclusively ATM.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

Jeff fired? Unreal.....how do you fire a legend?

This is sad news if true. Right now I am sifting through a ton of posts trying to piece all the info together. I did not know Jeff personally but followed his blog and loved his reviews and shows. Funny guy who knows gaming. As a business major and someone who understand the term "bottom line" I understand that decisions sometimes need to be made for the greater good of an organization but once in awhile someone at the top needs to execise some integrity.

no more words,
