I just wanted to add this post even though I copied my own posted comments from the article's comments area. The article is Sony's response to the GTA IV game not being exclusive to the PS3 first. My comments were as follows:
A basic PR strategy. Does it always work? No.
This is the same strategy used by Microsoft's Shane Kim when he spoke about the XBox 360 launch. Don't remember that? His exact words were, "We've blasted out of the gate with the greatest launch in the history of video games...". While the 360 is a great system, was it really the greatest launch in the history of video games? No. Anticipated launch? Yes. Greatest launch? No. I don't think we need to rehash the issues MS had with supply.
So Sony is doing the same thing. Big deal. Both systems are and will be great.
Take my opinion for what it's worth. I sometimes tire of the fanboy war in the comments section. Sony this, XBox that. Whatever. Just game on and enjoy.
