I completely agree with you. I just finished it now. I was having fun, and then what I thought was a cutscene to another level turned out to be the final cutscene of the game. Ugh, so abrupt.
The story is really bad and there is barely any horror to it. You have at least one, usually two escorts throughout the whol game draining any feeling of isolation and fear a good horror game should have. Maybe if you played it on the hardest difficulty you might get away with it, but I doubt it.
I totally fail to reach the minimum system req. However I got the game anyway, and I play pretty smoothly at 720p with high textures, high models, and with light shafts without any AA. It's a really easy to run game.
I grew up playing games with like 20-30 fps, 1280 by 800 resolution. So as long as I get that, I'm happy. I hear playing games @ 60 fps and 1080p is like walking through a door that only opens one way, so don't really wanna try lol.
Mass effect 3 is often making gaming news headlines these days, for better or worse. Probably play that first so you understand what all the fuss is about lol.
