I bought my Vita used on eBay. It said it was in perfect condition and it was pretty close to it. I would only buy from a highly rated seller and read the condition very carefully. For enough of a savings it would be worth it if you couldn't afford new. The Vita was the first used new system I had ever bought, I'd do it again if the savings were enough.

I was really surprised with pilot wings. It was almost worth the price tag of a full price game. I spent a lot of time and had a lot of fun playing it. I had been wanting to pick up steel driver since launch and finally did for $10 and was very happy I didn't pay anymore. It's a fun game but no where near worth full price. It would have been a perfect game to be packed in for free with the console. I'd say its worth a short diversion if you can pick it for under $10. Pilot wings is the easy choice between the 2 games here.

These forums are too stickie-crazy as it is. Instead of forums, there might as well just be one forum with a stickie for each console. It's really irritating when your thread gets locked because it kind of, sort of has something to do with something that has a stickie thread. Except the stickie threads end up with 1,000 pages to sort through, and nobody reads them so if you need help with something the stickie is useless.

Go ahead, try and ask for help with an issue with your console on the Xbox forum. Your thread will promptly get locked because there's a sticky about it. So you can either spend hours reading through pages and pages and pages of posts to see if someone has had the same problem, or post in the thread and wait a week to see if someone with useful information happens to check the thread.

So no... no more stickies. Please.

I'm not a fan of stickies for this very reason. I really don't see a problem with a short term sticky though, it can be deleted or un-stickied after the games are released.

Yes, they were identical Platnium Gift Club Nintendo Pin Sets.

Mine are both in pretty good shape, my wife opened one, and the other I'm going to leave unopened for now. I was just wondering if they had a batch of double orders go out, or if this is an isolated fluke.

It must have been a fluke. I had ordered only one set and that's exactly what I got. Mine aren't in terrible shape but a couple of the rows had the corners smashed in. This was my first platinum gift ever, I really wish I would have gotten last years instead.

They're a pin set. I got mine today also. I was a little upset on how they were packaged. The cardboard boxes the pins were in were kind of smashed a bit. Nintendo packaged them in nothing but a normal mailer envelope.

If I was forced to place a bet I'd say we see a redesign with the 2nd stick. As long as games could get by with only using 1 stick you wouldn't isolate your fan base to much. I really wish they had shipped with the 2nd stick anyway and really can't figure out why in this day and age they didn't.

im always for skill vs luck...so im cool with it...

KBFloYd
You could argue that it's skill vs luck but I call it exploiting a loop hole. I don't think it's necessarily cheating but I think it's bad for the game and the overall enjoyment for most of us.

[QUOTE="the9thinning"]

just use a walkthrough

Essian
I don't like using walkthroughs... I feel like it spoils the game, and usually I just piece it together myself. But with this game, I was hitting so many dead ends I just had to be sure

I don't either, but with this game it was a must. There's so many little things that you have to do to trigger the solution to the puzzle that I found myself very frustrated until I started using a guide. Kind of like the things you're talking about now. You really don't know if you can complete certain tasks except through trial and error. Im having fun with the game but really can't believe so many people proclaimed it as the best game of all time. This is the only game I can ever remember using a guide for most of the time. At the first hint that I'm stuck I pull up a walk through and I've found the game much more fun.

I actually worried about this at first. When the system was being reported as a sales flop and the CEO was giving back his salary I was curious if they'd rush something else out to save face. Remember the virtual boy, not everything Nintendo touches turns to gold. Now that the smoke has cleared though it looks like the system will be just fine. I don't expect as long as life as the DS had. I think (personal opinion) that the 3DS will start showing its age before to long and Nintendo will be forced to bring something else to market.
