Ken Beaulieu, the vice-president of Epic Games, revealed on August 18, 2005 that Unreal Engine 4 had been in development over the past two years. The engine targets the next generation of consoles exclusively after the seventh generation. The only person to work on the Unreal Engine 4 core system design so far is Tim Sweeney, technical director and founder of Epic games. However, at the 2006 GDC, Sweeney stated that development will not begin in earnest on the next version until some time in 2008. Sweeney has also predicted that the number of developers would be ramped up to three or four engineers by the end of 2008, and would be aimed predominantly at the next generation consoles rather than PC's. Tim gave a talk at POPL06 sharing some of his thoughts on programming. However, it was later confirmed by Mark Rein, the vice president of Epic Games that Unreal Engine 4 was coming to PC. Mark Rein also clarified what Tim Sweeney meant. "When Tim Sweeney was talking about Unreal Engine 4 ... he mentioned something along the lines of it being exclusively for the next generation of consoles... what he meant was, it won't run on this generation of consoles," said Rein. Rein further said that the idea of Unreal Engine 4 not coming to the PC is absurd considering the fact that the engine is built on PCs.

OK,GTA III was released for the consoles in october 2001,then was announced for pc in april 2002,and released in may 2002.

GTA vice city,was released in consoles october 27 2002,then released in PC may 12 2003.

GTA:San Andreas was released in consoles in october 26 2004,then was announced in april 2005,then released in june 2005.

and YES i do want GTA IV for PC.and with this information,i now REALLY think it WILL be released for the PC.

EVERY GTA game has been released for PC,first on consoles then PC.

So why GTA IV can't be released for PC? It WILL later this year.

Start > Run > msconfig > startup > disable all (apart from your firewall).

you can also click on services tab and then click the box to hide microsoft services and disable all

Also you can disable all of the SYSTEM INI and WIN INI.

If you have problems once you restart you can just type msconfig again and enable it all. Though you shouldn't have problems seeing as it doesn't disable anything you need, only disables the crap you put on your pc since from startup and that.
