@jenovaschilld: Frankly, neither console shines as a game platform. Graphically, both are wildly underpowered. A $50 graphics chip embedded in the system would have absolutely blew the the other system out of the competition. Why did Both SONY and MS go with such poor hardware?
@westsiderz28 I downloaded the entire 23GB Sunset Overdrive demo in 21 minutes and 39 seconds. Not exactly pokey. I donno who came up with this idea that the XBox One is slow in downloading as mine rips. I was putting onto a 3TB seagate hard drive in a USB 3.0 enclosure tho.
@AzureBonds76 Neither console covered itself with glory as for the graphics engine. 1080P at 30 FPS? A $50 graphics chip add on could have doubled this pathetic amount of graphics power. This was a race to the bottom for keeping costs low rather than adding true value to these "new" consoles.
Like all of the Civ games, I expect the gameplay to be tweaked to hell and gone over the coming months/years. After two or three major updates, most of the weaknesses will be addressed and fixed. You still have to go by what is shipped for a review, I get that. Just don't expect that cities will be a pushover for long or that someone will not fix this in a mod. Civ 5 plays a lot more differently now than when it shipped.
