I just recently purchased Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on Steam because I felt like playing it again. However, I see no option on the menu to set a 1080p resolution. Is there any way to fix this? I've seen people play the pc version at 1080p. Just trying to figure out what to do. Thanks.

Do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, OS, etc with this, or are you just building a tower?theragu40
Yes I would like to include all of that actually. I'm totally new to this and have never built a pc before. I am new to computer gaming but I am definitely loving it so I've been saving up to build a sweet setup.
I am not sure if can build an AMAZING gaming system with 1000$... I built one last week with 1200$ and it can max out everything at 1900X1024
Consider these :
GPU : ATi Radeon ASUS EAH5850 DirectCU
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 Ghz
Mobo : Gigabyte GA-790FXTA UD5
Ram : OCZ 2X2 (4Gb) 1600 Mhz
I dunno what you are searching for (Intel, AMD...) but the system above can max out everything without overclocking it.

Nice. I am actually looking into building a gaming desktop. I've never built one and this would be my first. I didn't know how much money to set aside so I planned setting aside $1500. Would the results look incredible with this setup you recommended. I'm not exactly pinching pennies here. I'll spend what I have to. I just want a top of the line setup. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
Thanks a lot, guys. I appreciate the help.
So I've been saving up and am ready to build a gaming pc. I am not very knowledgable, however, of how to go about this. This will be my first gaming desktop. I'd appreciate any feedback on what parts, hard drive space, GPU, processor, etc. that I should consider with a budget of $1500 to $2000. I'm not sure how much it will cost but I set aside those funds just in case. Thanks again for a helping a newb out with this.
Are there any sites in particular that you can recommend of the top of your head?
