I own the gateway 7805u and personally I love it.

I play games like Red Alert 3, FallOut 3 and CODWAR.

course you probably have bought it already!

I chose it because its pretty packing for the price. ddr3 pc8500 memory, 7200rpm hd and 1gb vid card.

It runs great too on normal task. the gpu is in the 40s unlike my xps m1530 which is in the 60's on regular tasks.

Sure but is the image as clear at 22 as it is at 20 inch? They both have the exact same resolution so the image is being stretched further on the 22inch. I've tried looking in stores at their displays but ofcourse most are running videos so you can't really see the computer display.JohnD212

oops, didnt see this while i was writing. u will not notice any screen door effect, i actually had to search to see what you meant. lol screen door effect prolly concerns more of the lcd tvs and what not. i actually upgraded from 20 to 22.in my opinion i like 22 better, txt is easier to read.

Ok I was just playing the demo. The lowest it ever got was 25fps but it is averaging low 30s! this is in 1680x1050 settings all high no aa.

My setup is:

XP Pro

2gb pc6400 memory

E6420 OC to 3.0GHz

250HD 7200rpm

Visiontek HD4850 at default settings.

hmm ur right, i didnt feel a difference in cod4. also I forget that I changed machines too so I cannot directly compare the two seeing that they ran under different setups but for sure, I didn't feel a difference in cod4 and I ran them both 1680x1050 all max no aa. sry i cldnt be more help.
