I miss the good ole days back when ATI was still its own company. I've never liked AMD and I hate that AMD now owns ATI, and it doesn't help that I have a strong dislike for NVIDIA. Now I have to support either AMD or NVIDIA, not cool. It's like if in the future, for Toyota fans if GM bought Toyota or for GM fans if Toyota bought Chevrolet. It would be sacrilege.lol

Is Matrox still around?lol

Wait, people actually play the MP in this game?lol Look, I enjoy the franchise I think it's a great IP. However, the games IMO were kinda run of the mill... at least as far as games go. They went on way too long, and the controls were just too twitchy to make it truly enjoyable. This was really an issue with U3, I was just tolerating the game to advance the storyline. Similar to MGS4, I only played because I was interested in the story, the game wasn't that great to me.

I mean, the setpieces and graphics in U3 were pretty darn good. But the gunplay, controls, and cinematic camera that always seems to move at the worst time all ruined it for me.lol

Big improvement, definitely won't give Unreal 3 engine or other popular engines much competition. But, the H3 and Reach engines both do something that no other engine on the market (that will change with the next COD game) does. The screenshot and movie modes are a big bonus. And I'd gladly have Reach look the way it does and have the replay/screenshot modes than have it look like Gears 3 and not have the replay/screenshot mode.

It doesn't matter if the hardware is superior, if it's too hard to develop that game developers aren't willing/can't take advantage of the extra power then it's not a superior platform.

This is the main reason why I no longer do much PC Gaming. My $3000 computer that I just bought about 2 years ago would have a hard time running COD4. Granted, I could upgrade the RAM and Video Card, however, it doesn't really make sense to do so just to run a single game that I can already run on an Xbox360 or PS3.

I still think the Red Alert 2 was the best of the series. RA2 was the only one worth playing through multiple times after beating both campaigns. As much as I liked the other games, once I beat the campaigns, I hardly ever play though again.
