I have been thinking of beefing up my PC and have thought of buying the Nvidia 8800GTS by Pny. Is this a good card or should I go with a newer card like the 96 or 9800? Now I see here the GTX 260. Is this a better card than the 8800 GTS? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Of course I am getting 2 gig stick of ram amongst other things. I am just unsure about which graphics card to get.
I can tell you that as a gamer not a fanboy I have more games for the 360 than the PS3. So far the only games that I have played on the PS3 are MGS, Drakes, and Little Big Planet. The only reason I have these games its because I cant play them on the 360 since they are exclusives. All other games that come out for both systems I do end up buying for the 360 and that is mostly due to the online. PS3 still has a long way to go with the online. Games that Im playing on the 360 and not get bored are GOW 2, COD4, Fallout 3, Far Cry2 not only do they seem to play and look better on the 360 but the online is spot on. FYI, Mr. Newel the man behind such games as Half Life series, Left for Dead most recently said himself that he will not port another game to the PS3 because fo the cell processor. It is not worth his while, and Im just paraphrasing what he said during the interview. You can look up the interview on youtube and hear for yourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RNXIhccXLchttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR8CVLVmKQs This will not deter me from buying and playing those games that are only accesible on PS3, but Mr. Newel is not alone on this there have been other companies that have expressed themselves in the same way.
