Check on Perpetuum, everyone plays on the same server. Its similar to Eve Online except instead of spaceships you control robots.

The game is in open beta atm and the client is around a 600mb download.

Take a look at borderlands which should be released in october.

Basically its an FPS with RPG elements and a massive loot system and looks very interesting and different.

The Battlestations Pacific demo is good.

Oblivion back in April 2006. It was a birtday present along with the 360 console :)

I hadn't packed up a console gamepad for about 3 years at that point so it took me a couple of hours to get my skills back.
