Don't forget this. "A new generation of games with power from the cloud: Because every Xbox One owner has a broadband connection, developers can create massive, persistent worlds that evolve even when youre not playing. While a persistent connection is not required, Xbox One is designed to verify if system, application or game updates are needed and to see if you have acquired new games, or resold, traded in, or given your game to a friend. Games that are designed to take advantage of the cloud may require a connection. With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies." So the online requirement has been confirmed. I'm baffled that Microsoft would limit their userbase like this.

I'm undecided. While the features displayed during the reveal were impressive, I personally found the multimedia focus of the event to be a slap in the face. That said, I can forgive them for slipping up on PR if they redeem themselves during E3. On the other hand, I'm less than impressed with the Kinect requirement and their claims about the Cloud. The Kinect was, by and large, a failure. Pushing up the price of the console to force a flop like that on us was a bad move. As for the Cloud, their outrageous claims are ridiculous. The latency and bandwidth issues pretty much destroy the possibility of it being used by developers. After all, who would buy a game that drops in quality if your internet connection sucks, like the majority of people in America?
