actually from what i have heard microsoft is getting rid of the pro version all together and will be lowering the price of the elite. I read this in the most recent issue of game informer.
I am trying to set up a wired connection to my xbox through my modem. I have spent quite a bit of time tweaking things and I am now stuck. Obtaining the IP and the DNS settings automatically do not work. I have set up the IP address and such but cannot get the DNS settings right. My xbox keeps telling me "your DNS server can't resolve the names of the Xbox LIVE servers or xbox.com" I have called my ISP and got the primary and secondary DNS servers from them as well as checking them in command prompt (they were both the same). I am out of ideas, can anyone help?
