Jeff Gerstmann is a man that knows how to set the gaming community on fire. He never backs down from what he believes in. He uses his skills as a Journalist to the highest calliber. He calls them as he sees them personally. Jeff spent many hours giving us fun, laughter, shows, grief {when our fanboy sides disagree with his view} and pure joy. He dedicated himself whole-heartedly to GameSpot and all gamers everywhere. Jeff is a great man that has integrity and honor. He is a man that cannot be bought for an opinion.
Jeff, I fully support you in these bleak times. Even when I disagreed personally with you over a game score, I have always honored your choice as well. You made GameSpot a cool place to be. Many a night I stayed with you during E3 events, TGS, just to name a few. Your antics have always made me laugh. I applaud you for all you have done. Stay true to who you are. For truly, you are a great person to know. Never compromise, never break!
In honor of Jeff, I will not be on here the rest of today or Monday at all. Fellow gamers here at GS are having a Black Out Monday fo Jeff. We are his voices for now. Not only is this for Jeff, but all Journalists everywhere. If CNet can get away with doing this to one, what will stop them from doing it again? We must defend what we hold dear. That is INtegrity and fairness.
Please be responsible. I know that many are angry. But going around the boards voting down all reviews is not only childish, but puts added strain to the rest of our GS employees. It was not GS people. It was C-Net that has done this to Jeff. Quit harboring ill will to the rest of GS Staff. Use your anger in better, more constructive outlets please.
Jeff......you have much support here at GS! We will continue being your voice! Until later.....GAME ON!!!!!
