The new gaming season.

Well everyone, its now in its prime and raring to go. The big hitters have already made their mark and now the lesser known games are starting to pop up. Of course, it is hard for games like Mass Effect to compete with the juggernauts of Halo 3, World in Conflict, and Call of Duty 4. But they are here and ready to fight. Halo 3, of course, defined this season, heck, maybe even these last years of the decade, and any game that came out remotely close was just over shadowed. Poor World in Conflict, which I view to be a better game, came out just ten measly days before H3, and was almost forgotten about. Not many people will be staying up all night waiting for Assassin's Creed now will they? No, no they won't. But who has really come out worse in the end? Well, that prize goes to Sony. Microsoft and Nintendo blew 'em out of the water. Oh well, its eat or be eaten out here in the gaming world. PC gamers have been getting a lot lately too. Gears for the PC? With an all new campaign! That nearly made me buy it. But, I am content with my good ol' Xbox 360. Some games are making a nose dive though. Empire Earth 2 was one of my favorite games a few years back. Now I think the sequel is on the road to ruining the franchise. But we can't forget about Guitar Hero! Wonderful games, the first two, and the third one was no disapointment. Only problem, why did the pick The Number of the Beast for their Iron Maiden song? I am a hard-core Maiden fan and I know they could've picked better.

Well everyone, that is my summary of this year's gaming season. All it does is leave me wanting more. Halo Wars next year! And hopefully a lot more. See you on the other side!!
