The PlayStation 3 is just too expensive comparing to their opponents; Xbox360 & Nintendo's Wii. I dont own a PS3, however, I would like to own one but with that 399 price tag my future isnt promising. The 360 is 199.99 at its cheapest and the Wii is a very desirable $250 and very fun might I add. Im committed to the Playstation and although the other competitors prices are lower, Im just not interested in them. Im a Playstation kind of guy. I really wish that Sony would drop the price somewhere around the $250 mark or even $279 would be intriguing. Until then, I am just going to wait for the PS3 price-drop even if that means waiting for 2010 or 2012. Im sure they will have to drop the price rather sooner than later anyway because of the price-drops happening with the Blu-Ray players. That is the reason why Sony keeps the price so high. If the Blu-ray goes down so goes the PS3 and there I will be waiting with my credit card and feeling more secure about spending. Until then PS2. Thanks for reading.

I was screaming for a PS2 pricedrop for years! and Sony never heard my cries. If this were 2006 or maybe even early 2007 I wouldve been excited for the change but this is too little too late. Not many care about the PS2 like they did a few years back. Almost everyone is salivating to get their hands on an Xbox360, PS3 even a Wii. I doubt there will be a rush to the stores for the Ps2 because of its new price because really that just means the used or refurbished systems will drop to about $40 bucks and people will buy those instead or until they can get a PS3 or others I mentioned. Im currently an owner of a PS2 that Ive had for about 4 years because I switched to the slim PS2 eons ago otherwise Id be a proud owner for 7 years. Too little too late Sony! Make the PS3 a more reasonable price and make it smaller if you can. Until then I have Black to play and Call of Duty 3 to finish and MLB Power Pros 2008 is a fun game so Im good for now.
