This is actually a mix between a rant and an opinion, but anyway...
I was on one of the boards the other day, and I asked someone if they knew where I could find episodes of a certain program online. Some time later, I was modded for asking where I could find episodes of a copyrighted program online.
The only thing was the show was only available in Japan (TV wise). So asking if I could find episodes with english subtitles that can't be found either in Japan, the US or even on imported DVD was somehow cutting into the company's profits? I think not. This has happened to me with other shows too, ones that aren't shown on TV anymore, have season DVDs of them, or weren't even popular enough to warrant being put on DVD or into syndication! (there were even episodes that weren't shown on TV because of some weird reason that they were upset about)
So I think people really need to get a life about what they mod people for.
