PC gaming only costs tons of money if you want to run games like Crysis on max settings with no issues whatsoever. I think for most games though you don't need that intense hardware. Then again, I'm no expert on the subject. :PCube_of_MooN

thats true, plus you can max out crysis no problem with a rig that costs around $800

I can't use a 32-bit OS, as I lose about half a gig of memory due to address space limitations. The 64-bit version of XP is poorly supported. Hence, Vista x64.

So what if you lose half a gig of memory ???

The OS uses about half a gig less of memory anyway.

thats the same amount that XP uses...plus DX10 is better for gaming due to the massive amount of improvement on volumetric particle effects
