I am trying to switch fro AV to HDMI and I cannot get a signal, the screen goes blank and will not let me switch it HDMI. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong? the cable is HDMI 1.3, and my tv supports upt 1080i.ghostfarm

uhh, plug it in with the cables that work...and then go to your options and change it to HDMI while the other cables are still pluged in ( i think you can plug the HDMI in too) that might work..just change the setting i guess

I've got two console to date the Xbox360 and the Wii. I was saving up to buy a PS3 and then I read that they are phasing out the 60GB version and replacing it with the 80GB version and charging $599 for it, which puts it out of my price range. I would buy the cheapo but whats the point because it doesn't have the features? It also makes me wonder if Sony if trying screw there costumers now because they are behind. What's the deal Sony?

the deal is they are so full of bad press AND SOOOOO deep in the hole they have to try to both price cut AND make more money. so they didnt really cut prices...just made it seem like they did

I just watched the conclusion to the live demo (killzone 2), the one in which hes shooting at a tower and turning a switch..over and over, seriously thats all!! the AI looked bad, the pacing seems like maybe golden eye on the 64, I heard that there is a 1st person cover mechanic, but Ill believe it works when i play it. It seems like their only focus was to wow people with the graphics...and ok sure it looks great, but crysis looks better, and bioshock might look better, and call of duty looks, not quite as good, BUT DAMN CLOSE and looks 100 times more compelling to play....BROTHERS IN ARMS looks 100000 million times better in both aspects, game-play and graphics...and also im a lot more excited about half life orange (my steam ID got stolen so my Half life and CS is gone....) heck episode 2 by itself looks a lot funner than killzone 1 and 2 combined.....Ill play it but.....I don't believe the hype, just like the "Halo Killer" hype they threw at us with killzone 1, did it kill halo?? yea chew on that one

PS if anyone actually believes the crap that Sony's president spews about the actual game looking better than the pre-rendered video, watch the videos side by side in HD. The prerender actually uses more than just two colors, the actual game has the color palate gray and rusty grey....Thats an improvement over the graphics? Thats the most basic level of graphics....amount of colors available, I won't even get into how much better the shadows, fire, and explosions/deformations of terrain look on the prerendered vid.

fail thread is fail. but i am bored so here it goes: the lighting is so much better(ign and kotaku both agree with me here) in the new gameplay than in the old trailer. the textures and facial detail were better in the target render. the game now shows off the destructible environments, and the fact that the helghast not only respond to getting shot, but also to WHERE they are shot. the new footage takes the cake there. the fire was better on the target render but imo the smoke looks better in the new footage. the fact that there is first person cover mechanic also adds to the insanity of combat which is just great in the new footage. this is NOT KILLZONE 1!!!! Do not judge it by an old mistake when the company has proved they have learned from their mistakes after releasing the amazing killzone liberation on the psp which recieved great reviews.longhorn7

who cares what amateur from what ever magazine agrees with you...the lighting is nowhere as good, look at the vehicle when its landing , and compare it to the other vehicle...NOT EVEN CLOSE.
