Woo Hoo! Nearly level 10!, that means I'll be able to upload vid's and hopefully get a few more emblems!. Might take me ages though... all this work travel is killing me.....

Time to find a new house! Spent all day looking at houses for sale. Need a place that's a bit more child friendly- nice fenced in back yard, playgrounds and parks near by, safe area etc.

It's times like this where the differences between men and women (and gamers and non gamers kick in). I want a place with Cable, BIG Sat dish, heaps of power into the house on different clean circuits, walls stong enough to hold a plasma and big kick arse room right at the back to create my own gamer space! Oh and nice yard for the little one and her future brother or sister.

 The wife - picky about the ktchen, or the bathrooms or other stuff that I don't think of, doesn't care about any of the stuff I want (in fact I think she'd be far happier if we couln't get any of the bits I want!).

God (head in hands).... this is going to drag on forever........

I went to one of the official PS 3 Launches in Australia recently, all excited about getting first hand look at the new system and still a bit bitter at how we had to wait 6 months after the rest of the world to get it......

 Complete Home Entertainment system? Lets look at what it can do:

1. Video Games- awesome!
2. Wireless controllers. No more stumbling over the cables when getting up for another beer.
3. Blu-ray! Excellent- and cheap too! A low end Blu-ray player in Oz will cost you about $1,500, whereas the PS3 is only $999. There's the old DVD player gone
4. Digital Audio out. There's the stereo replaced.
5. Internet access. Unless you want specific PC apps, there's the computer gone.
6. On line gaming Free!! Thanks for coming Xbox, you don't even come close.
7. Built in Hard drive, plus support for multiple external HD's. See Point 2, 3 and 4.
8. Using iToy and internet you can even video conference!

So in a nutshell, it's got nearly everything. What's it missing?

DIGITAL TUNER! Yes most TV's these days come with built in digital tuner and/or set top boxes are pretty cheap, but to me that's a glaring ommission, the one thing that prevents it from being the COMPLETE Home Entertainment System.
