[QUOTE="-Snooze-"]

I haven't really set one. I'm just trying to limit myself to something mid range. I'm nto expecting to max anything out, thats what i have a PC for.

Yeah I understand, but it would help if you gave us a rough estimate of how much you're willing to spend.

You could get a half decent laptop for about £600, or you could drop £2000 on it.

If you give me a price range I'll look for something decent.

Not to ninja the thread but, i am also looking for a high performance laptop in the 1100 USD range. My only limitation is that the screen size can't be bigger than 15.6 inches.

That one is a bit too large, I would want to keep it around 15.6 inches tops!

Thank you for your views/inputs. Anyone else have any suggestions/opinions about my dilemma? It would be great also if you could link recommendations like the previous poster!

Hello everyone I would like some help in making a decision. I am about to go off to college once again and my parents are purchasing me a new laptop, I know laptops arent that great for gaming but, i need something that doesn't take up too much space in the dorm rooms.

I was looking online and I found a laptop with core i7-720QM and another laptop with i5-430M as its processor. My problem is that the i7 laptop is 16.4 inches widescreen and I find that to be far too big, while the i5 is much smaller, and I have been leaning towards the i5.

Is the i7

is the i5

What would you suggest for gaming, I wish to play games like Sc2, WoW, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, etc...? Does the difference in processors make that big of a difference?

Thank you for the help!

didnt want to say this but I will. I wanted to build my computer, but my parents wont allow me. Im still in high school, not a 30 year man living in his parents basement.

and anyway I only have to pay half price if I buy from a company. so, any suggestions?

Whats being a 30 year old man living in his parents basement gotta do with building a computer? I made my own computer when I was 15, and like the others said, build you own.

Hi guys my dad got me a thinkpad, and I'm not going to lie im kinda of a noob when it comes to graphics cards. I have two questions!

1.) I checked and I have a NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M.I was wondering how good is that graphics card? (is it bad, okay, good. Can it play few, some, or most games out right now?)

2.) My laptop contains a duo-core processor, 2 gigs of ram along with that, and I was wodering if I could play oblivion with this setup?

Thank you for your help.
