Wow, I didn't think I would get responses so quickly. Anyway, I'm going call Nintendo in the morning, but after bopping around the internet, I have to agree with Michael0134567. If I can't get help from Nintendo without sending in my console, I'm going to buy a disc cleaner off of Amazon. I'm also considering opening up the Wii to losen some screws, which is supposed to quiet down the disc drive.
I don't know if this same problem has come up before, but if it has, it would take a long time to search the forums for it. Anyway, I recently noticed my Wii console getting a little louder over the past few months. I hadn't run into any problems until this week when I tried playing several of my games only to find that each one loaded for a bit and came up with a "disc read error." I tried cleaning each disc to a mirror sheen, but the same problem arose. The only reason why my system could be acting up, besides the fact that it has passed the warranty, is that I accidentally left it in a box under my bed for a month. This does not, however, explain why I didn't have any problem until I tried to play Bleach: Shattered Blade; I started this week with Resident Evil 4, but after a few days with Bleach, my Wii stopped working with all of my games. If I can solve this without having to pay Nintendo to get it fixed, I would like to know.
