Colby

So, now that the new TV season it about ready to get started, I wish to talk about the Numb3rs season finale.

Mainly: COLBY IS A SPY?!?!

Does not compute.

Yes, I figure that he'll turn out to be a triple agent pretending to spy for the Chinese but really spying on them.

But still. Where was the foreshaddowing? It wasn't there. Or, it kind of was, but very half-assed.

Liz should have been the spy. And a real one, at that, so we could be rid of her. I'm hoping that now that Diane Farr is back from maternity leave that Liz will mysteriously "go back to Washington" like Terry did.

Numb3rs returns, SGA exits stage left until March

Can I just say (again) how disgusted I am about Sci-Fi giving us a six month hiatus for the second halves of the Stargate seasons?  It is so totally not cool, Sci Fi.

I hate BSG.  Not interested.  At. All.  Liek WHOA.  OK?

However, at least now I have the wonderfully horrible (or horribly wonderful) Numb3rs as a pacifier to soothe the months until the awesomeness that is SGA returns.  Charlie even got a hair cut!  And maybe we'll have the Talking Heads back in the opening credits!

SGA will even return at a good time, when Numb3rs is inevitably being pre-empted by March Madness as it always is.

Stupid basketball.

Stupid Sci-Fi.

But CBS is cool.  For now.

David Krumholtz's mustache!

So, David Krumholtz's (now titled) movie "Searching for Kitty" is finally being released.  The TV Guide interview was nice and informative. And I totally would be going on and on about it if it weren't for Krumholtz's Freddie Mercury mustache action.

DUDE!

It kind of makes me wish that I was a man and therefore (slightly) more socially excepted for me to grow a massive 80s YMCA mustache.  And join a GlamRock band.

But that is another tale all together.

Stargate SG-1 Cancelled!

So, Sci-Fi has once again pulled a Farscape.  They have cancelled SG-1!  OK, so THAT makes sense.  It is mostly Sci-Fi's fault that the ratings are down because they re-run the episode three times so OBVIOUSLY the ratings are going to be skewed, as people are watching at different airings.

At least they aren't cancelling Atlantis, too.  I don't know how well  it will do with SG-1 gone, as fans can be very vindictive.  People are already saying that they see no reason to watch SGA now that SG-1 is leaving.

Personally I think that we should boycott BSG instead of Atlantis in hopes of getting a mini-series or even renewal.  No need to take anger out on SGA!!!

Sci-Fi channel

I am really annoyed with the Sci-Fi channel. They have severe brain damage over in their scheduling department.

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis are second only to Battlestar Galactica in terms of revenue for the channel, yet they are making us have a SIX MONTH BREAK between the cliff hangers of episodes 10 and 11. WHY? So they can run BSG's third season uninterrupted.

OK, BSG is cool, but not that cool. If they want to run the series uninterrupted, fine. Just don't delay the Stargates! They're all worried because viewership is down. Well, here are a few ideas:
1) stop changing the time for the 'Gates!
2) run BSG along side the 'Gates like you did last season
3) remember Farscape, jerks.

Seriously. Sci-Fi fans are a fickle bunch. You mess with our series and we'll mess with yours. Steven Spielberg's Taken, anyone? HA!
