Watch it: heavy ending spoilers ahead for GoW2 and GoW3

I just finished GoW2 and something cought my attention. As everybody knows or has seen in first footages from Ascension single player shots

http://gematsu.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/GoWA-Trailers_06-14.jpg

, you may notice that Kratos is not having his mighty armor, he aquired during GoD2 and GoD3 and his famous scar.

Now, my theorie is, we are not playing with the Kratos (B) from GoW3, who apparently, after his self secrifice vanished, but with the Kratos (A) from the beginning of GoW2.

Because Kratos B(you played during 2 and 3) just appears at the moment, when Zeus tries to stab A and pushes him away. At the end of GoW2 Kratos B travels back in time to get the Titans from the first Titan War to his time line and GoW3 starts.

But what happened/happens with Kratos A? Apperently there is no need to travel to the Sisters of Faith anymore for him, as Zeus didn't kill him/send to Hades.

Just let's assume I am right, what do we all find in this new time line, Kratos B created.:

-Zeus is dead and so is Athena as it happened after Cratos B came back from time

-most Gods are dead (every GoD game except GoD2)

-the Sisters of Faith are still alive though!

-Everything and Everyone killed in GoD2 are still alive as it didn't happened

-Everything and Everyone killed in GoD3 and in all games before GoW2 stays dead. It's the timeline Kratos B created with saving A.

Maybe, we will see a not so evil Kratos team up with Zeus and Ares, who were brought back from time with the help of the Sisters of Faith to fight back a ludicrous, world destroying, (more) evil Kratos who tries to brake the rules of time (to get back his wife and child). Moreover, Ascension might play during the events of GoW3 and all the global katastrophies(with each God killed) will play a role during the game. Maybe it's Kratos A who is responsible for the last image from GoW3, that B vanished.

Your thoughts?

OK, do you remember the Nintendo 64. Yup, the one from that crazy youtube video, where that kid got his for Xmas, and yup, the one that cought dust while your PS2 is still connected to your TV. That little system (N64) even though still running with old school cartridges was in many ways way beyond his time. One of this features, like Anti Aliasing support(please, let's not talk about PS3 here) were the ability to upgrade the systems system ram, from 4mb to 8mb. At that time Nintendo had to choose rdram with all of it's downsides which made the whole concept pain in the *** for any programmer, just like many strange decisions made for that system(64mb cartridges?! u have to be kidding)

But anyway, enough of the history lesson, now imagine a next gen console, being able to be upgradable, not just the HDD... ...with more ram, from 8GB up to 32GB depending on what kind of resolution and graphics effect you want. And it doesn't need to end there. What about another gpu, something like a SLi configuration. For example, the low budget entry console comes with one gpu, 4GB ram, small HDD. Afterwords, you can upgrade the console up to your needs and up to what the developers would like to show.

Of course, all this sounds more or less like a PC, maybe even like a Steam Box PC, so it's obvious that the console company (Sony, MS) needs to regulate them self and the software developers in cases like what and when you need to upgrade and what you should expect and what you won't get if you stick to a less tuned machine. I mean, just because you won't want to upgrade makes a game unplayable or even not playable at all would be a no go.

So what do you guys think. Would you buy something like this? Does it even make sens, and how would this compete with the PC market.

Some spoiler ahead.

First of all, the thread question, is Solid going to be the playable character in Mgs5, even if it is a sequel to 4? And of course, lets asume Ol Snake is too old then.

Answer, when Solid met Naomi in 4 she did some scans on his Dna, can't remember what exactly, but there was that one single scene, showing Naomis monitor with 'copying Solid Snake'. More over, in that lab was a grown up size incubator. (or a solarium). So we will get another clone, a 1:1 clone from Solid.

Question: Games with sub HD native resolution, like the COD games or MGS4 are often using a forced 1080p mode. Is it better to play them in 1080p -being upscaled by the PS3 - or stick to 720p, a resoltion that is closer to the original native sub HD resolution???

From what I've heard, the PS3 upscaling is not as good, and it should be logical that scaling 1150x640 pixels to 1280x720 should result in less image quality then blowing them up to full 1980x1080?! Or am I wrong?

A FullHD TV assumed of course.

Just in case you don't know, design is 'form follows function'. So if you think that this saying has got something to do with conspiracy theories then yes, I have to agree to you guys, otherwise, nope.

To be more precise, if someone designs something, she or he always needs to have something in mind as the main theme, otherwise it's just plain, stupid 'styling'. In this case, the main theme was celebrating the three console in one case design.

I have never seen a thread about it so I start. Maybe it was discussed much earlier but who knows.

First of all, let's look at the console while it's standing horizontal. In my opinion all 3 PlayStation console generations, the PSX, PS2 and finally PS3 have been integrated into the case design in a symbolic form. The PSX is the thin base of the console, the measurement of this base approximately reflects the base top view measurement of the original PSX.

The next additive part of the design, on top of the PSX base and between the main console body, we can see the part that holds the usb slots, the first chrome bar, resembling a PS2 horizontal stand. Not just the measurement but also design icons resemble to the old PS2. As mentioned before, have a look at the chrome bar. That's nothing else then a scaled down PS2 horizontal stand. Also the way how the slots have been arranged on one side and the air vents are similar to the PS2, in other words a redesign of the old fat PS2.

Next would be the big fat main body, carried by the PS2 and PSX redesign case parts. It's no longer an simple geometric box design like for the original PSX and most of all, the PS2, but more like a monolithic sculpture with 3D elements, the CD tray, to be more precise, with positive and negative variation.

Now lets put the console in vertical stand and see if we can find something else:

What makes all this stuff really awesome in my opinion, is that the letters P and S and the number 3 have been integrated into this design citations of those 3 generations as well. The P can be found on the final big PS3 body, that's clearly the chrome that holds the CD tray. The CD tray itself that's obviously the 'whole' in the P font.

The S is a bit tricky to find, but it's the variation between the positive and negative space of the On/Off controltouch surface justunder the CD tray and then theclosed case for the extra memory sticks (yup, I'm talking about the fat 60GB). That's the S. But moreover, just like the real PS logo likes to play by connecting the P and S to each other, the S is also directly connected into the chrome 'P'.

The '3'has been integrated in Latin writing form, that means, have a look for 'III'. That's pretty easy. The console case design is based on three more or less basic geometric forms connected to each other with integrational and additive design methods. Nowlook at the left side. You can see some sort of 3 steps, the basic PS step is the smallest followed by the PS2 step with the chrome vertical stand, being a bit bigger and the fat giant PS3 step connecting all three steps with it's curvy negative side view design

Can you spot these design elements as well!?It's pretty clever, the design I mean.

To try to use more modern materials, Sony decided to use semi transparent, shiny black materials. Now, we know that no transparent white shiny materials combined with black mate materials and chrome linesare still ahead of the hound... ...Apple design

Super Wii. It's not that unrealistic.

There were rumors that the new console design will have something in common with the old SNES so maybe it was not the design but the name, and Super Wii that would be an ultra awesome nostalgic touch to the console but more over, the name would specifically addressthe now older hardcore gamers who once played with the SNES during their years before. Makes sense?!

The name would be charming, nostalgic, simple.

If this screen grab is not bogus then we can say for sure that the letter 'S' will play an important role in the name of the new console:

Maybe someone has the time to make a .gif how my Kazuya avator gets owned by Kaz Hirai? And I am going to use it as a new avator. But it needs to look cool and funny.
