yes i did go into the settings and changed it, but did not work....I also did purchase the new HDMI cable it still the same thing...no 1080i, with the hdmi cable in get no anything, the only way that i get a pic is by using the componet cables..
I tried a new HDMI cable, for both movie, and a game and niether one worked in HDMI.....so I purchased a set of HD componet cables to see if that would help had picture, but still 480i.....will not convert to any higher...I have tried everything that I can think of.
40 gig ps3 ,only plays in 480 on 1080 t.v. wont reconize hdmi cable either . called sony, they said t.v needs up grade,its 2 yrs old. old 60 gig played with hdmi cable . its like the the smaller gig wont reconize the 1080. ats wits end with this . direct t.v comes up in 1080,tried different hdmi cables,moved locations on t.v hook ups still no 1080 . can some one help???????
all ready had it apart,so i cant send it to sony. i've seen the drives on e-bay ,but dont know how much they are from sony . oh well i'll have to give sony a call. thanks guys .
i was wondering if anyone knows where to get replacement parts for the ps3?? i need a new disk reader /driver mine wont eject take in movies /games any more . :question::cry:
