Rez....in HD.....mmmm!

Well I hope everyone had a great christmas. I know I did this year. I am now the proud owner of a 80gb PS3. I also got Heavenly Sword, another Sixaxis controller, King of Fighters XI(PS2) and Fatal Fury: Battle Archives 1(PS2). I had a great Christmas day with my family. I spent a good chunk of the day playing Uncharted, which I rented. I love it so far but the gun play is kinda difficult. But I love everything about the game, the platforming parts are amazing. I haven't played too much Motorstorm yet but I do enjoy it so far. Heavenly Sword hasn't been played yet because I was playing so much Rockband yesterday. It was a gift for me and my little sister but I have played it more. I love drums but god are they hard to play. Oh if you want to add me on the Playstation Network my ID is: keiblerfan69.

Damn I look at my profile everyday and I never realize how long its been since I wrote a blog. My life has been quite hectic since that last post. I left my job at Smith's and now work for Gamecrazy in the same parking lot. I guess I should go in order with everything that has happened.

My Departure and a truck?

Well before I left Smiths I was saving all my money and I bought my self a truck.

2002 Dodge Dakota SXT

Mileage(on purchase date): 68,000 miles

Engine: 3.9L V6 4X4

Price: 5,800 dollars

This truck was a hell of a deal. The KBB value on it is 12,000 dollars. I got a 3 year loan from my bank for it. I was only one credit point away from getting the loan on my own so luckily my mom co-signed for me. Its a stick shift but I love it for that reason, off-roading is much easier when I can control what gear I am in. I just put new tires on it and I am planning to lift it and put some serious work into it.

Well now on to Smiths and why I left. I was suppose to get another promotion and go to a new store. I was going to be making 10.50 an hour and working with friends. Well they told me that and a month later it still hadn't happened. So I was getting tired of it and was working minimal amounts again. So I applied at the Gamecrazy in my parking lot. I applied on a Sunday, got a call back on Tuesday, had my interview Wed and was hired on Friday. So my last day at Smiths was Saturday. I went to work that day and told my boss, I got another job, I start tomorrow so today will be my last day. They didn't like that but I didn't care. So I started at Gamecrazy on 09/16/07 and I have been happy even since. Now I did take a pay cut to work there. I now make 7 dollars an hour but I get commission and I am getting a pay raise in January. If it isn't enough I am going to have to leave the job. But I have to do what I have to do to survive. I can barely live off of this income and I hate it.

The Future

Well I have finally decided that I do want to work in the game industry. So I have been looking into testing jobs here in Vegas. I am watching the Konami website for openings since they have a studio here. Also my best friends cousin is high up in THQ and I might be able to get a job through him.

Games

I play games more then anything else now. I get free rentals from Hollywood so I get to play a lot of good and bad games. I love Orange Box as many do, I am very excited to get Mass Effect and Rockband this week. Guitar Hero III is amazing but lacks that special feeling anymore. Halo 3 is just another Halo game and I regret buying it. But there many exciting games coming out, Devil May Cry 4, Mercenaries 2, Burnout Paradise and the weeks and weeks of new Rockband and GH tracks to play.

So I am very hopeful for the future but I really need to get rid of my damn credit card debt.

Yep I got a DS Lite for free. It was found at work about 2 weeks ago and put in lost and found. I waited awhile and asked if I could take it and I was told it was ok. So I went over to Gamecrazy last night and bought a charger and Pokemon Diamond. So far I love the game and I feel like a child again. I definately need to buy more games though.

Well I just paid off my credit card that I had run up over the last month. It was 384 which isn't much but it feels good to have it paid off. Everything has been kind of calm in my life lately. I work 40 hours a week and go out every night. My Camaro is running but I will be finishing up some more work on it this weekend.

Not too much on the game front. Just GH II with the friends. Music is kinda my life right now. I love the new HIM songs and the first single off of Serj Tankian's solo album titled "The Unthinking Majority." My ipod was fixed once but now it needs it again. This time the power won't come on. Damn Apple and there ipods. I really hope they release a new model soon.

Edit: And another thing, Disturbia is a damn great movie.

Well I graduated a week ago today. It is so great to finally say I am done with school. I have no plans to go to college. If I get any more education it is going to be a technical school so I can become a mechanic. I got about 850 dollars in cash for my graduation. Here is the breakdown: 500 Aunt/Uncle, 100 Grandma, 207 Mom/Dad. The reason for the 207 is because my birthday is 02/07 and I graduated in 2007, also it was 7 bills. I told my mom that the only way I was going to take the money from her was if we went shopping for TVs. I ended up buying this TV: Here.I love it so far. I currently use it for my moniter as well as everything else. On the same day I bought Guitar Hero II for 360. I put the TV on my Best Buy card so I had the money to buy the game. I love Possum Kingdom, it was the first song I played when I got home.

I got my driver's license yesterday. I was so nervous about it but it was so easy. My only flaw was that I would coast instead of downshifting(yes I took my driver's test in a manual). I am very glad that I can driver myself anywhere now. I am getting added to the parent's insurance today.

Since I got the new TV, I have been watching a lot of movies. I finally watched Pirates 2 and all I can say is that what a cliffhanger. I am going to buy the Die Hard Trilogy DVD that came out yesterday as well as Reno 911: Miami.

I am currently addicted to Shadowrun. There is nothing more fun then getting in a good party and playing Shadowrun til 4 in the morning. This is one of the best online games I have played since probably the original Counter-Strike.

Well I have decided that I am going to try and get back into GFXing. I have been extremely bored lately and need something to do. I have been trying not to go out so much due to lack of money. I would like to save some money that way when summer roles around and I decide to take some time off I can afford too.

Well the thing with Jen is over. Her BF broke up with her but then 2 weeks later she tells me that she thinks of me as a best friend/brother. I am over it now. I have moved on but she is still my best friend as I am to her.

I graduate here in 5 weeks. My mom has told me that they are considering giving me there 1989 Camaro as a gift. It runs but needs some work. If I put about 2000 dollars into it will be a great dependable car. Not to mention fast and will likely get me in trouble.

There are a couple games coming out soon that I have some serious interest in. The first one being Forza 2. I love my 360 and I love racing games that let you go all out with the customization. The next one being Colin McRae: DiRT for the 360. This game looks like so much fun. I love rally racing just for the fact that I know they are always going to be extremely realistic.

I have little to no interest in video games anymore. Nothing new coming out interests me, other then Halo 3 and GTA IV. I have started selling my games. I will not sell any of my Dreamcast stuff or N64 stuff. Then there are a few select 360 and PS2 games I will keep.

The only real things I care about any more are getting my Nissan Sentra, Work, Jen and Music.

Valentine's Day is this week is this week and even though Jen and I aren't going out, I am going to surprise her. The plan is for me to fill her car with pink and white balloons. Then I will put a rose and a card on her driver's seat. Should be interesting to see how see handles it.

I now have 900 dollars saved towards my Nissan Sentra. I want 2000 for the down payment. So by mid-March I should have enough.

Oh I forgot to mention, I turned 18 on Feb 7th. It wasn't a very eventful day. Jen made the day great though. At midnight she surprised my with balloons at my front door. Then at work the same day, she surprised me with more and a cake. I love her to death and I can only hope for the best.

This is the car I am determined to own. Jen has one and has let me drive it a couple of times and I love it. Also I know it is fast and handles speed very well. She was going 105 once and there waa barely any road noise. The price is 10,994. It ends up being like a 200 dollar monthly bill.

I had a very strange day, first i was in a bad mood(refer to my previous blog), then I was in a better mood, then she wanted me to meet her boyfriend. Strange but we are very similar.

We (Me, Her, BF, BF friend and other co-worker) went to Denny's. I did some maple syrup shots. Then we went and shot pool for an hour. Its was fun and interesting. I see what she had some kind of attraction to me. Her BF and I so similar its scary.
