from a forum post on the Resident Evil director....

'I completely disagree that you can't have a video game movie that is good AND makes fans happy. The same goes for comic book movie that is good and makes fans happy.

At the risk of sounding uber-nerdy, I think TMNT is a good example of this. True fans were mostly happy. It was dark, had all the main characters and kept the main story line (Origins of the turtles, Origins of the Foot/Shredder). If you are too young to remember the first one, dont' respond to this.

Just because a great video-game movie to adaption has not been made, does not mean it can't be done.

crshnbrn I disagree. If you saw A hot actress playing Jill, steeling through the mansion with better quality graphics, the same monsters but in different places and the character actually responding like a character and not an avatar with 4-movements, you'd like it, and it could be a good horror flick.

Curse you directors for leaving your (shameful) marks on classic series.'

Crshnbrns comment was saying he wouldnt like a Res evil movie like a game cause he's played the game and that would be boring to see again.

Had to repeat this post. I just agree with it too strongly. Post your comment below.

Brain Age DS Commercial

Made me happy to see one of the first DS commercials I've seen. It was for brain age and showed a older chick playing! It was a great marketing spot for Ninty to hit the rest of the market.

Even tho I won't pick it up (yet) I think its great Nintendo is hitting a new market. Its about time. And Im not naive enough to think that I will not be old someday and my patterns of what i like in a game will not change.

Though did anyone else see the "system and game sold seperately?" Why do they need this when I just saw a lite and a brain age in a package deal. interesting.

EA buys Mythic (and eventually your soul and everything else)

A friend asked my why I hate EA. Let me count the ways...

Main reason is what they do to gaming. Owning rights to a game franchise is one thing. Owning rights to entire sports leagues is ridiculous. Isn't that unconstitutional or something? Hearing how wonderful NFL2K was gave me hope. It said that not every football game has to be a Madden. ThankfullyI don't even really play sports games anymore, they have lost me, especially the way EA makes them. Give me Wayne Gretzky 3d Hockey..... However this is a great injustice to sports and gaming. Shame on you, EA.

EA used to be a solid developer. I just think they have too much on their plate. Recent games I've heard from them, Madden on 360 is not even worth buying. I played through some of the Harry Potter games (I stole them from my sister) and they make me sick. Boring, slow load times, pretty upsetting. More proof that EA is in it to make money at the cost of crappy games.

Please EA, don't kill another franchise. Do yourself a favor and break off into the Pacific Ocean.
