...How about lower-end CPU info, but on lower game settings? I want to know if I can jury-rig this game to run with my crappy 1.6GHz CPU. I mean... I have a gig of ram, and a good enough graphics card, but I couldn't run the demo... And no, I'm not overclocking it. It's a laptop.

I thought that the All materia in FF7 was an awesome treat. Heal all your allies, burn all your enemies, speed up your friends, stop your enemies. It made the game so much easier when I could give all my characters Regen and Haste in 2 turns instead of 6!

No idea what their plans are here, but I'm hoping that they go up there tomorrow and say: "Alright, here are some videos of games coming out later this year. The launch titles will include LoZ: Twilight Princess, Red Steel, Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It will cost 149$ US. Oh, and it releases in 3... 2... 1..." Please note that I realize that there is absolutely no chance of this happening, what with the crazy early release date and the fact that SSBB won't be released until 2007. But you gotta admit... it would be really awesome!

All you people saying that "PS3 is quality for your price!!!!!11!" should read some other posts... I mean, Blu-Ray is a new technology, but so was UMD. UMD movies have now failed, and Blu-Ray may follow suit. Blu-Ray, being a new technology, will also cost more, so the games will be more expensive unless Sony makes some serious price cuts. In addition, most of the games won't fill up all of the space on the Blu-Ray disk... unless the game designers work harder, and that's more money you have to pay. So, I think that Blu-Ray won't do so well because of high costs. Just like the PS3. I'm going for Wii this time over. Gaming is pretty popular already, but with the Wii, Joe Somebody who doesn't know games but hasn't tried them out because they are complicated/expensive will get his chance. Games will be a popular, well known industry like movies or TV. Everyone will have a console in their house just like everyone has a TV (mostly). The Wii will give the industry the boost it needs to transcend the "nerdy" feeling most people have about it. With it's intuitive feeling (nothing's more intuitive than moving your arm...) and low price, it's going to be easy to get into. The virtual console system is a smart move, too. "Nintendo's lost a lot of steam recently. Remember the good old days?" "Yeah! Let's get those games right now for my Wii and play games from when we were kids!" Hell yes. Oh... and there are a ton of games I'm excited about. For about 40 bucks each, if what they say is true.
