@mkeezay22: 1600x2160p vs 3200x2160p. It's a very real checkerboard technique. I'm very concerned about your apparent lack of knowledge and spewing ridiculous bullshit then telling someone they're uninformed.
@sladakrobot: I know the XoX will be great. I love the fact that both Sony and Microsoft have decided to join the 4K gaming revolution and have little to complain about. At least until the X launches and something stupid happens. Microsoft's track record isn't good but I am overly hopeful this last time.
@Pyrosa: I'm at about 4 foot on a 65" LG C6 curved OLED with HDR. I find it to be the perfect setup. I have gone through many (too many) different gaming configurations over the last few years to find the perfect setup. 3 - 1440p 27" panels then 3 - 60" 1080p panels for Nvidia Surround gaming with racing simulation, VR, a single 70" 4K panel pre-HDR, 125" 1080p Projection screen, etc... I've completely and contently settled on the single 65" curved OLED design, nothing beats the beauty of OLED and it helps console games look better too.
Digital surround sound and 4K gaming is perfect. I am more critical of everything and with that level of criticism people should understand that If I also game on a PC in 4k this way, when I say PS4 Pro and XoX graphics will BOTH look amazing they better damned believe it.
Once native 4K projectors are available in short throw configurations under $2000 I will again change my setup.
@mkeezay22: The PS4 Pro games I've played at 1440p and 1800p look remarkable on a 4K TV when done right. With the extra power of the XoX I'm confident they can look even better. Lately, I've realized that people are putting far too much attention on the actual exclusives the Xbox has. We know there aren't any but that's ok. The games will look and play better on the XoX and if you want to stay in the console space and have a 4K TV, the XoX will be the best choice, despite the PS4 Pro's lower price and phenomenal graphics quality of the Pro enhanced games. I play wherever it's best... period. Excluding PC, that is a separate animal and brings entirely different problem and budget to the table, which I also game on...
@sladakrobot: Come on man... What about the xbox gamers that claimed graphics didn't matter, the human eye can't see past 720p.. etc.. etc... graphics have reached a point now with the Pro and X that 65" TV's simply are not large enough to make a major impact on the differences. Not like before. It didn't take super human anything to tell how bad low res graphics and lack of anti aliasing can look on larger screens. The real shame is that "native" 4K seems to be the target now with both advertising and over zealous gamers when the facts remain, properly handled 1800p content can be just as good because hardly anyone games at 3 feet from a 65" display. I do and I can safely admit I'm considering retiring from PC gaming because it's THAT good.
@sladakrobot: Not nearly enough to make an impact. Simply not buying the Xbox One isn't enough to change how games are made or how they charge for digital content.
