Ok, so I've been watching all the great stuff happening in the news that the US Navy has been doing to support our Japanese allies through Operation Tomodachi. As you know, I'm living here in Yokohama and am currently serving on active duty in the Navy. That being said, all I can say is that I wish nothing more than to be on one of those ships contributing what I can. Sadly, I'm sitting behind a desk doing very little. Regardless, I have been trying to do what I can in clothes and financial contributions and I would like to encourage you to do the same.
On a related note, please don't buy into any of the bad news that you hear on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc. Understand that they are only trying to build their readership/viewership and aren't honestly reporting what's going on outside of the immediate area of Fukushima Dai-Ichi Reactor. If you listen to them, you'd think that the whole country is under a nuclear cloud. I can assure you that this isn't the case.
