Ok lets get this over with. There's no doubt that the Nintendo Wii is full of shovelware (i mean honestly there's a game titled "Babycatz"). There also aren't exactly a steady stream of great games like the other two consoles (more so with the ps3). I myself have gotten pretty bored with my Wii. We lost power in our area about a month ago and the power indicator on my Wii is still red as i haven't even turned it on and connected it to wifi since then.

Nonetheless, the title of this thread is "Why I Love Nintendo" not "Why the Wii Sucks".

Getting to the point, i'ts just the great nostalgia Nintendo has developed within me. Everytime I look at my Wii and think of when I'll get to dusting it off, I also think of the first time I played Ocarina of Time and Super Mario Bros. I think of those days I brought my Gameboy to school to play on the bus ride and of my play through of Earthbound. I think of the song in the first level of Donkey Kong Country and sailing the vast oceans of Wind Waker. I think of swing my sword in Twilight Princess and drumming my bongos in Jungle Beat. I think of the upcoming 3DS and playing my first touch screen game. I think of these amazing gaming experiences that have yet to be topped and I fall for Nintendo all over again. This is why I love Nintendo and won't ever stop.

Lately Dragon Quest fans have been treated with numerous traditional and new releases (IV,V,VI,IX). Another huge announcment was DQX for the Nintendo Wii. Dragon Quest is definitely my favorite rpg series mainly because of it's traditional battle system, art **** and general charm and I would soon shell out the money to purchase a new system just to play a Dq game. Luckily I already have a Wii and DS for the upcoming DQ releases. Normally I would be excited about these releases and the fact that I already own the consoles, but lately I've begun to worry about those games (mostly DQX).

I've been a Nintendo fan all my life so the wii seemed like the perfect current gen system to buy. In the beginning my expectations were fully met but lately as less quality games are being produced (there have seriously been like 5 iterations of the same figgin "carnival game") my interest in the wii has seriously drained. I look at amazing productions such as MGS4 or the upcoming FF13 and The Last Guardian as I long for those games on the Wii. Meanwhile FFCC the crystal bearers for the Wii is drastically different from the last games in the series and Dragon Quest was absolutely slaughtered in DQ Swords.

I can't help but worry about the outcome of DQX on the Wii. Will it be drastically different like FFCC crystal bearers or slaughtered again like the gimmicky DQ Swords? Or maybe it will keep its well-known Dq charms and prove me wrong.

I've finally got the translation for mother 3 and went through the difficult (for me at least) process of getting it on my computer. The game is amazing!!!:D:shock::D:):o8)oooooh.
