If it "fails" in any way, I can see it likely being because of bugs. Hopefully they worked a lot of them out by extending the release date 100 times, however, it's usual for these types of games to have some pretty big bugs. And if that's the case, I'll just wait for things to get patched up.

I feel like too many have forgotten how to transition to next gen consoles. I don't remember ever being blown away this early in a console's launch. In my opinion, every generation has progressed in the same way: small leaps and cross gen titles early on, and significant improvements over time. I don't know what gave people the impression that this gen was going to be any different, but I feel like the issue is in their unreasonable expectations.
Relax. Give it time.
I can't see myself paying to play a single player game unless i'm going to be able to put 100+ hours into it (Witcher 3). I'll gladly buy Cyperpunk for the single player campaign.
I don't know how old some of you are, but some of you might recall that we've seen this before. When the xbox 360 and the ps3 were released, the xbox 360 had an advantage in multiplat games despite the ps3 being the more powerful console. With more time, developers were unable to figure things out and unlock a little bit more of the potential. It's silly to compare multiplats right now but...
I get it. It's system wars. People are going to jump all over this stuff.
What’s with all this “copying” talk? Just about every part of gaming has been copied at some point. Last I checked, MS isn’t using HD DVD’s anymore.
Also, MS didn’t invent game subscription services...
Sort of feel like this was Microsoft’s plan. I don’t think Sony has deep enough pockets to do what MS does with gamepass. They are going to have to release something inferior or crush themselves trying to replicate it. But that’s just my opinion.
For gamers, it’s great. Sony has a great library of games and if gamers can can get first party titles for a reasonable monthly rate it’s a no brainer.
This reminds me of when Netflix realized they didn’t have to send out discs in the mail anymore.
People have legit being blowing vape smoke into their consoles, so it's hard for me to critisize MS for warning people not to...
I don't speak Polish, so I google translated what was there. I think this topic is a little misleading. MS said nothing to suggest that the smoking was real.
I'm not saying it's not, but some polish tweets that don't explicably admit that this is a real issue is not going to be filed under proof in my opinion. I haven't bought a console either way, so I hope MS looks into this and I'm glad they are picking up his console for testing.
@BenjaminBanklin: If that's how you choose to view it, that's fine. I can't argue with how you personally choose to view the situation.
I'm not sure that even they take it as seriously as you do. At the end of the day, it's video games. If they can't laugh at themselves a little bit, establish and maintain some connection with the gaming community, and deliver a product that they believe in then what's it all for? It's unfortunate that you were expecting a more somber answer from them that revealed their extreme embarassment, but I'm thrilled with the way they handled the situation.
To edit your quote, I think this is more accurate: "Remember how we made this thing that was supposed to be awesome, but everyone laughed at it, so I guess it's funny now. But now lets listen to the gaming community, push the date back a little bit and make sure that we get this game right."
I guess you can't please everyone.Especially those who are looking for reasons to complain on a Sunday morning.
