It's sorta dying. On the dead part: it's losing new content, becoming less popular, and the DS is taking spot for nintendo handhelds now. On the live part: still on the shelf, one or two more new games left to come, still can play the classics (so no console truly dies!), and everyone that's like 9+ still uses the gba anyway.
It'd be nice if they kept the gba as well. Note: dream saga isn't on any of the OLDEST game info sights unless you look for it directly but it's not fully dead. this is just an example. You can still play the classics! A while back I played the N64, I can still play it. Gba is a fine game system but it's left it's glory now. The DS is reaching for the stars right now but gba still remains. I suggest you keep playing your gba and buy older games. It's still alive in the oldie players lol.
