I will refind the link for the new HD 5series, they have an alpha card that isnt setup and fully tested yet. but suposibly they will put WAY better cores to get higher speeds. if they stick with that said they prolly wont be able to make it setup for crossfire because of the massive heatsink they must put onto it. The core was said to be around 2-3GHZ and mem around 6Ghz. i double they will release it like that, i see them dropping the core processor to lower speed to allow them to crossfire it.

night right. i had a 4400 oc from a stock 2.2 to 2.4 and its been 4 years and still runningfiredrakes
i agree with him, the E8400 computer i have had since the E8400 was released, a crappy old biostar mobo runs it with the updated HD 4870 perfectly fine. mobo has never messed up on me since. i have my E8400 @4.0GHZ running every min of the day(Main computer since lower watts used with it). just once a month dust the computer out and you should never have a problem. i replace thermal compound every 8 months. no problems should happen.

i did this with my hd 4870 512 iceQ4, i lowered my core to 780 rather than 790 and i noticed my fps is higher during stress test through farCry 2 as well as other video stress tests. around a 5 fps boost, with the newest drivers. unless you plan on volt modding your gpu then you might as well go to 1ghz core clock and leave mem as is.

[QUOTE="jasopan"]GTX275>4890 Look at ANY review out there they either are equal or the GTX whoops it's ass (especially @ higher res)

i run everything from 1080P to 2560X1600, i have a 42" HD LCD and a 30" 2560X1600 monitors. i test all my hardware to the max and the lowest settings, overall i see with all my computers ati and intel get better fps in all games. give me a list of games i can test them on all my computers with what ever game it is you guys want me to test it through. i have 2XHD4890's (about to get a 3rd) 2XGTX280's (about to get a 3rd) 1X HD4870 and HD 4850X2. i do not trust online reviews on cards, because all they do is when they release and without the new drivers, i have noticed invidia dosnt update as offen as ati. ati from what i have seen through my computers with the new drivers have given me an extreem boost in fps in virtualy EVERY game.

LMAO a hd4890 crossfire does not beat the gtx275 tri-sli, actually it shouldnt beat it even beat it single card! all benchmarks say that the gtx275 is better than 4890iliatay
i beg to differ, because i have the gtx 280s and i get better fps with my hd 4890s, i build gaming computers and overall i recomend i7 with ati, and amd cpu with any invidia cards. i have 4 computers and 3 of them are ati computers with intel and one invidia computer with amd cpu.

i dont know man, i use to have GTX 280 but i think it is all on waiting for new drivers to come out for ati, because my HD 4870 ice q4 gets an average of 95 fps with 1080P resolution and my gtx280 only got around 70. i returned my 1gb version of the hd 4870 iceQ4 for the 512 version and i got a better with my 512 than my 1gb version. it depends on everything else as well. from all the computers i have i swap gpu's to see what runs better with what. dual core intel the 4870 runs the best, with my core i7 extreem runs best with 2 hd 4890s thanthe gtx 280s, i had to use amd cpu with gtx 280 for the best fps while i game. they get around the same fps in most games. of course the i7 i have has the highest fps with ati in all the games i play.
