Day 47: Initial Thoughts Kid Icarus

Hey guys,

I'm playing Kid Icarus Uprising right now and I just wanted to give you my quick initial thoughts. The thing that has surprised me the most is how great the dialouge and voice acting is, honestly it is my faovrite part of the game. The controls are a little funky, but there's no second circle pad so I understand why. The game does look great and besides the controls, the combat is good, but not great. The custimization seems promising and I'm looking foward to diving into this game more.

How many fans of the original kid icarus do we have here?

Day 46: Back in Time- Contra 4 and Ninja Town

Hey Guys,

Quick update, I just finished my fortune summoners review and I am in the process of editing it. Aynway, making it onto my list are both Contra 4 and Ninja Town. Contra 4 sounds like a fun throwback to old school side scrolling shooting as hard as heck, I am a bit scared about how difficult it may be and the fact I will only be able to do single player on it, but I am excited to finally tlry a contra game. Ninja Town sounds like some good old fashion stratagy/ tower defense action and seems relatively simple. Should be pretty fun and a more casual game.

Day 45: Back In Time- Sonic Rush Adventure

Hey guys,

I'm going to go start a series in which I look back at old DS games I need to play, I reasearch them and decide why I want to play them. Maybe these are good games forgotten about or games I missed when they came out due to low advertising. So Sonic Rush Adventure makes it onto my list. It is cheep on amaozn, only about 15$ new and it offers classic high speed sonic platforming gameplay and although it lacks a story and is short, some high speed platforming sounds pretty fun to me for a brief stint.

Day 44: Initial Thoughts Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

Hey guys,

I am curretnly playing Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and I have to say I LOVE it right now. It one ups Sacred Stones wihich one uped Fire Emblem in my opinion. It's true that is keeps the same core gameplay that I love with just a few tweaks, but there are just so many improments. Custom made weapons anyone? The support conversatoins are way more easy to do now and I love the story as always. I also love the art style and dialouge between the characters. I am having so much fun with this game right now!

Day 43: I'm back

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I am not gone. I just beat Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and I have just been busy and haven't made time to put up more reviews. I am working on my Saints Row The Third Review and will have more reviews coming out soon. Don't you worry!

Day 42: Initial Thoughts Fourtune Summoners

Hey guys, some time for initial thoughts on Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone. WOW, do I love this game. I believe it recieved a 60 on meta critic, which I can certainly understand. There are some bad parts to this game, but it has found a way into my heart. The combat system is hard, but chellenging and I believe it is fair. Your AI companions are really smart and are a HUGE help. They do way more damage then I do and without them I'm not sure if I would be able to beat this game. The story is where this game stands out, it is just so heart warming. Who knew playing as elementary girls going on adventures could be so fun! It's a action RPG with everything I would expect, lots of combat, dungeons, good story, magic, monsters, 2D, and items to be collected. The combat is fun and chellenging, the story is great, the characters possess a lot of charm, and it's a world worth exploring. I'll just tell the beginning of the story, it's about a girl named Arche who arrives at a new town and attends a new school of magic. However, she needs an elemental stone to do magic and her family can't afford one. So she decides to go on adventues with her friends in order to aqquire a elemental stone. Since the characters are so young, they don't say any cuss words, instead they say things such as "jerk face". The one biggist complaint I have is it's hard to find out where to go. The game tries to do a note system, but it is still hard becuase there aren't enough notes and no world map. Sometimes the player just ahs to talk to every single person, sometimes the same person twice or go wander the map for a while. Going to each town wouldn't be a problem if the combat wasn't so chellenging, having to fight through monsters is no easy task, and when I had no idea where to go, going from town to town was harder then it should have been. However, the postives out weigh the negatives and I very much look foward to go on more adventures with Arche and her friends.

Day 40: Thoughts on Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon

Hey guys,

The reason why I want this game is simple, it's a fire emblem game. Now what's a fire emblem game? It's a game with great turn base stratagy in a fantasy setting with good characters and a solid story. Mix in some RPG elements and it's my type of game. Shadow Dragon is a remake, but has Marth in it! That's a selling point for me :D

Day 39: Adventures in Saints Row The Third

Alright guys, I'm going to talk about my adventures in Saints Row today. I was attacked by a group of people while meeting someone in a park. I quickly ran into a building and got to the roof. I had to hold off wave after wave of enimies, snipers, rocket lauchers, helicopters, they came after me hard. My partner managed to get the elevator working while I held off the enimies with the rocket laucher, pistols, and a sniper rifle. The most memorable part of the roof scene was blowing up a group of enimies who just dropped down with a rocket. Then I got into an intense car chase with cars, tanks, helicopters, and cars with mounted turrets. I actually jumped out of my car right before it exploded and hijacked a different one. I made it to my home base safely and thus ended the mission. This mission was a very fun one, combining action on the rooftop and an epic car chase. This is what makes Saints Row The Third Stand out, the craziness.

Day 38: Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward Thoughts

Hey guys,

Todays game is Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward. I can't say I am an expert on this game, but from what I've heard it's a little under the radar. Its suppesed to have a very good story with some horror mixed into it which is important because it has a lot of text to read. I hear the cast of characters is great, the puzzles are chellenging, but fun, and that there are multiple story branches to go down. What more could I want from a puzzle adventure game? I will keep this game on my list to play, sadly it will be a while before I play any of these games.
