Ok since the PC building thing is all I can think about right now; I decided to hit the stores and look for a good graphics card. It was wierd that the strongest card in all these stores was nVidia GeForce 8500 GT except one store who had sth different, A nVidia GeForce 8600 GT. Okay, thats a good card for someone who don't want playing his game on 1600x1200 16AA 16AF turned on but wait... I asked the assisstant for its price and it was priced 250 U.S dollars! And I thought things will be cheaper here just because I bought my 360 cheap and found some original Wii games price 5000 iraqi dinars (which is 5 $). The only thing I can think of is what is the price of nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX or GT and GeForce 9800 GTX would be?:? The PC building thing will be a lot harder than I though and it wouldn't come cheap too. Guess ordering stuf will be better than buying mid-range cards with a price of high-end ones.

I also noticed each day, new GS members join my union! I feel happy about that!! YAY!!

I haven't noticed it but my union (TX3N, which I ledt it for a while) is slowly growing (although we haven't got 30 or 20 yer :P ). I noticed couple of new members enlisted which is very cool and I thank them for accepting my invis (If i sent one! I dunno) and it is a strange thing that all of them are close to my age! Wow! This is cool!!! I see that the union and the members will work in harmony! YAY! :D

I also began to read the Windows Middle East magazine (which is a magazine provides infos about hardware, software, games and all related services) and found a review on the XFX GeForce 8800 GS Alpha Dog XXX Edition which got four stars out five in the arabic version.The FPS ranged from 15-40 in Company of Heroes anf World in Conflict. but they saud that the lowest res score was in WIC. note that this was played in high res. My question is can this card play games at high spec in 1024 by 768 with DX10? Like Crysis maybe? Keep in mind that it costs 250 $.

Hello all! Long time no see homies! Many crazy things happened in the month; some of them were good and some of them were bad. I'd like to start with the school trip: in April 19th we had a school trip to somewhere on the Amedi road. The place was plane and with some trees. I went with my friends from the other class. We had lots fun although everyone brought all kinds of ciggaretes; it was fun. We made Tekka in teh evening and played some football and some cards. Overall we had lots of fun! I have the pictures and I will upload them later.

Also my 360 died again!! No surprise! When my scool gets over I'll fix it and there is a chance that my bro buys a ps3. I need thermal paste for the fix it so I was wrong about replacing da heatsinks (so sorry about that). And another wierd thing, my father bought another phone , the samsung d880 that can wield two sim cards so he gave his nokia n95 8gb to...my brother!!!! Can you believe it? my younger bro has a better mobile than mine!! anyway that is no problem.

And my pc news is plain crap!! My pc can't run games on full any more!! I bought Gears of War and had to decrease it to low specs. Same with Crysis. And I also bought Jericho because I missed first person horrores like F.E.A.R and I thought it would be the right choice for me. I also found nVidia 8500 with a stupid price: 90 bucks!! That is a total rip-off!! Anyway I'm looking for new pc hardware like motherboards, CPUs, GPUs and RAMs so I started reading PC magazine (Middle East version). So when I'm done with school I'll begin picking parts for a new upcoming pc (hopefully! since thing here are cheaper than their original prices, if you take that rip off out)

School is tomorrow! It sucks! I can't play 360! But wait! Let me update you my life achievements! I successfully modelled a pawn and a bishop of chess set! I learned how to create models by using the spline technique and add Lathe modifier to it then make it look the way I want. I hope I learned more in 3DMax because I want to make mods for Oblivion and The Witcher (My favourite PC RPG games).

If you noticed I wrote a review of Mass Effect. I gave it 9. Expect some errors and wierd stuff I said becuase I haven't wrote a review from a long time. I started a new character in Mass Effect, a Soldier. I completed Liara mission and brought the babe to my crew. I got Dog of War achievement too.

I also completed Into Hatch episode in Lost. Good game but the animation and the models just suck! and the game is kinda easy to me and I feel like electrician more than being a journalist.

This tuesday school is coming back!! Oh! NO! I have only today and tomorrow to play with my 360! SO I better finish some games that I want to finish (maybe Lost and Mass Effect) and also I finished Devil May Cry 4 on Devil Hunter mode. The game was really good and satisfying. They changed the game greatly in this fourth edition. Oh yeah the first kissing scene I have ever seen in DMC :P.

I fixed my 360 with my precious yellow towel (I know it will come back again) Now I could play DMC now. I got to mission 18! Yay two mission and I'll finish the game yo! And five days are remaining of my holiday! I gotta play like a sucidal (and if I die I'll a marker :P )

Yeah! Life is boring without nex-gen consoles. I'm asking should I use it? I'm really desprate (did I spell it right?)

Oh yeah! 360 is down and dead! What to do?! This:

I just got it today!! I've been playing it since I got it. This is the first time I play the series. I didn't know that it would be this fun and addicting. My harware is decent and could handle the game at a decent specs but not high. So I had reduce some stuff to play it at an acceptable speed. I tried to play it online with Ultra-High-Maximum-Ultimate-Slow internet connection (dial-up) I could only log on and do the community stuff but couldn't join servers. Anyway if ya want to be my friend my profile is IraqiGangster.

As for 360, I need a thermal paste for the heatsink (Arctic Silver brand is the best for it) but I don't know where to get it here. I suppose I should ask some repairers to know where they get their stuff. So no 360 until then. I will also try to do what I did last time by giving it a short life until then hell Unreal.

Yesterday the RRoD came back. Oh you know how it feels right? so no need to explain how pissed I was. Anyway do you know that you can Identefy the problem why you have RRoD? You can!! When you get RRoD, press and hold the white little button (the one searches for controllas) and press disc eject while holding the sync button. then press it again and agian until you get the RRoD again. while pressing the eject button your ring of light blink various of pattern, they have codes. here you can identify them:

* All four lights flashing - 0
* One light flashing - 1
* Two Lights flashing - 2
* Three lights flashing - 3

Mine was 0102, so it means my 360's GPU overheats. Here is what I found on some 360 site:

0102 GPU Overheating/BGA Ram/Unknown error - literally means the console does not know what is wrong. Possibly a short or cold solder joint somewhere (2 reports of people repairing this, one was removing moisture build up inside the console, the other used a hot-air gun to rework, and to reflow the BGA Ram chip solder) Update: 3/30/07 - This is definitely a GPU Memory Error. Update 6/26/07 - M$ Is now adding a heatsink to the GPU when sent back for repair with this error, and admits that the GPU needs the extra heatsink. The additional heatsink is attached to the main GPU heatsink with a thin metal arm, and a copper tube. It hovers right behind the front panel with the LED and power button. It is not known if it is added/retrofited to the original heatsink, or if it is a complete replacement part.

So now I'm trying to find a guide to fix it myself. So if you have RRoD first identify the error code.
