Google 'devolo' it's what I have been using for some time. It's probably an ideal solution for what you need.adam_healy

Would i just need the dLAN Highspeed Starter Kit? Use one HomePlug adapter for the router and then use the other HomePlug adapter to plug into the mains in my room to connect the xbox? Is it that simple.. Thanks again

^ty for the idea. Never heard of something like that before, but that sounds like something worth considering coz wifi may be a bit of a problem for me as well considering my router is downstairs. cheers

yeah thats the thing..my router is downstairs and its practically imposs to get an ethernet connected to my 360, so wifi is the only option. i just hope lag isnt a problem with the 360 being upstairs. but man $100 or 60 GB pounds is insane..can get 2 routers with that

I want to get hold of one becausing plugging in an ethernet is actually impossible for me. But does it really cost around 60 pounds minimum to get one in the UK? because that seems a bit steep..and i'm guessing you can only get the official one.. If someone can just clarify this i appreciate it. Does there tend to be more lag as well on wifi..

I'll give that a forum a look. thanks for the insight anyway. i really wana get a ps3..it's just out of my price range atm..in uk it costs at least 300GBP=600US dollars which is taking the mick. so i'm really considering importing..just need to make sure i'm aware of the problems if there are any..

voltage won't be a problem as you can get a transformer to sort that out, i'm just more concerned about whether ps3 is known to have much hardware problems..

i'm thinking about a ps3 coz of some exclusives i really want but i have a few qs. however, i'm short on cash. I'm thinking about importing one coz the UK prices are ridiculously expensive compared to US or Japan, hence i'm thinking about getting an Asian/Japan version. I know games are region-free and i'm not bothered about watching blu-ray movies so i'm wondering if there'll be any issues if i were to use the ps3 in the uk? e.g. will there be any problems with dl content or will there be any problems with playing online in the EU/UK region only? Also, a key thing i wanted to ask about is the ps3 hardware problems? Are there any..because i know the warranty will be void in the uk for an import. Compared to the 360 i know the ps3 isn't anywhere near as problematic..but have there been much problems with the ps3? coz then it might not be worth the risk.. Anyone that has imported and can offer any advice will be much appreciated.
