Hey All,

I posted a little while back about upgrading my PC, but it turns out that it would be worth my while to just build a new one. I Also didn't have a budget really before, but figured that I gotta start somewhere right! heh. But as the title says, I going to be playing with around 700 bucks, and thats including shipping. I'm currently pricing stuff out on newegg.ca, as I'm in Canada. This is also what I'm planning on keeping from my old system, as I think they are still valid.

300gig Seagate Barricuda 7200rpm HD

then my DVD drive, its like a year old, can't quiet remember anything abotu it, except that its LG.

Other then that everything much be new. Though, if its too much, I can just keep my old case, its a huge Server case that has like 7-8 fan slots, but if a deal was right, I could raise my budget to help.

Thanks!

Well, I guess I could have been a little more detailed with the restrictions lol. But just looking at newegg.ca I've looked at this setup, no idea if its any good, but going on what it can preform ( I think anyways ) I'm always up for suggestions.

MSI KA780G AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

XFX PVT98GYDLU GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL-S 600W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Power Supply

OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3.1GHz Socket AM2 89W Dual-Core Processor

any thoughts?

Well, I don't realy have a budget, as I plan to get it piece by peice and not all at once. I play all the latest games, like Farcry 2, COD, all the newest games more or less. I've got a Samsung SyncMaster997df. As for the resolution, its max is 1920 x 1440 / 64.0 Hzand the sync rate is 160.0 Hz x 96.0 KHz

oh, and I dont' do any editing, just a pretty hardcore gamer lol.

Heres what I Got...

2x1gig OCZ Platinum 3200 333mhz

300gig seagate barracuda 7200rpm

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce4 (I was planning on going dual gfx card..but decided not to)

BFG 7900 GT/GTO 256mb gfx card

AMD 64 1.8 Denmark

Also, I didn't add the power supply, as I need a new one (the back fan stopped working) so any suggestions on a good fan would be nice.

Now what I'm looking for is not the best of the best of the best, just something thats good for the price pretty much. I'm from cananda, so the site that I usualy go by is NCIX.com, as the actual store is about 45 mins away. Thanks!

PS: if you need anymore info on the specs, I can run down stairs and grab em!
