Well, about four days ago, at 3:30 in the morning, I was bored. In order to get rid of my boredness, I decided to download the Magic TCG Online tutorial and learn how to play the game. After a few rounds of playing, I figured it out mostly and have realized that the game is easier than I thought it would be.
Then yesterday, I go to Super Wal-Mart and buy the 9th Edition Core Game Set. This set comes with:
- Two starter decks
- A 14-card pack of advanced cards
- A collectable premium card
- Two play guides
- Rulebook
- Magic: The Gathering Online game
- Credit for all the cards in the deck for the online game
Later that day, I went to Target and bought a Ultra-PRO Deck set, so my cards can stay new and crisp. I put my cards into the protective sleeves, then in the protective case, and I was set; until the next day at college.
At lunch, I finally got to play against one of my friends with my starter deck. Let's just say I didn't win, he beat me twice. Oh well, I am a noobie, no big deal. Later on after my Linear Algebra class, I meet up with one of my friends that is really good at Magic and showed him the new 9th Edition cards.
After he went through my cards, he decided to redo my deck for me. Thanks to him, I now have a standard deck. I got to try out my newly redone deck on the guy I played earlier and guess what, I won! So, with the help of uber Magic geeks in my program, I now get to play yet another fun and exciting game.
Any of you play Magic?
