I am starting to get exasperated with a problem I have playing God of War: Chains of Olympus, on the PSP. It goes like this:

I am at the end of the Jail of Tartarus, and have completed everything. I have rotated one crank which lowered one platform, and rotated two other cranks to lower another platform and form a chain link. The problem is, everytime I jump from the lower to the higher platform, I will plunge into the depths and die. I have received several suggestions, and thus far, none of them worked.

1. Some say, after you double jump from the ground to the lower platform, do not stop and quickly make your second double jump to the higher platform. It failed. I still fell all the way down from the lower platform to the higher platform.

2. Time your jump. It failed. Of course it failed. What do you mean time your jump? I tried all methods possible. I did my first double jump from the ground to the first lower platform (succeeded). I tried running all the way from one end of the small circular platform to the other and quickly double jumped (Failed). I immediately double jumped after my first double jump (Failed). I stood at the end nearest to the higher platform, pushed my analog stick in the correct direction and double jumped (Failed).

3. One suggestion I just received was: Do not wear the gauntlet of Zeus. You cannot jump higher that way. It failed as well.

What is wrong??? Is there something I am missing? I just wanna get out of the Jail of Tartarus and get into Hyperion and into the cave.
