So, after playing this for a little bit now, I'm getting tired of not being in a clan. Why? I don't know. Just am. Because of this, I was thinking about starting a laid-back, not too serious clan. Hello, and welcome to my new blog! To start this thing out, I thought it would probably be a great idea to review the long awaited game, MAG. Now, as the title says, this is review 1 of 2. The reason for this is because I haven't finished the advancing through the ranks (not even close), so I will be doing 2 separate reviews. Basically first impressions for this review. Anyways, to the review.... -GAMEPLAY- Technical So, you've probably been wondering how well this game was going to work..... you know, with the 256 player battles and all? Well, surprisingly, it performs incredible so far. Actually, I'm pretty sure it outperforms Modern Warfare 2 when it comes to the technical stuff, considering all the lag and host changes in COD (which have NEVER happened to me in MAG, thank god.) Anyways, MAG runs very smooth even in smoked out environments and highly populated areas, but there are the occasional screen 'jumps' where you are transported back a few feet, but it will rarely affect your overall experience. Now what about glitches? So far (key words: so far) I haven't seen any glitches. None. Zero. Now, that obviously can't be totally true, I mean, how many games do you see with zero glitches? Exactly. Although there are probably some out there, so far there has been nothing which tells me that the developers put some serious work into this game. (Please tell me if I you spot any glitches. I want to check them out myself and include them in the second review.) *9.5/10* -GAMEPLAY- Graphics For some reason, I have read some reviews of people totally bashing the graphics in this game. Why? Although they aren't anything to marvel over, they don't suck either. If I was to choose a good word... it would probably be 'decent'. The reason for this is that from what I can see, the view distance isn't great on some maps, and some objects could have a little more detail, but nothing is going to stand out. Your not going to be starting up a match and complaining about any of these things because none of it is going to affect your gameplay in any way. If you are complaining, you just have to understand that the developers had to cut back on the graphics to support the huge amount of people. *7.5/10* -IS IT FUN?- YES! MAG is no doubt one of my favorite games at this moment, considering the massive battles, wide amount of customization, and incredible maps to play on. Also, if you join the right match, you will actually be working as a team with your squad! What a surprise, right? Since when did people actually work together in an online game? The teamwork mechanics are great for the most part, and I haven't even seen all of it yet. Of course, there are many games that you will join where there are people going Rambo/COD-style, which eventually gets very annoying. When, you join a game without those select people though, you will be pleasantly surprised. Other than that, I can't really review to much more.... as i said the teamwork is great, but I also must say that I haven't seen the full potential of it put to work yet. Oh yeah, and some things I forgot to add.... the guns feel great, not to light or heavy, and the animations are pretty good.
