Since the battle of the new HD media is over, which was won by blu-ray, the 360 no longer is a lower cost buy. With a PS3 running $399.00 and a 360 running at 349.00 (i know there is one for 279.00 but that one has no hard drive) why would you get a 360? Currently they do have more tittles, but that is not going to last. The PS3 turelly, with no competition in it's way, gives you the new HD experience with the emergence of the victorious Blu-Ray. The 40 gig ps3 offers 40 gigs of hard drive, free online game play, six axis controller, built in wireless, and blu-ray. While, the $349.00 360 offers 20 gigs, no wireless, no free Internet game play, no interative controller like the Wii or the PS3 and finally no HD movie watching capability. So, you would have to buy a Blu ray player to watch HD movies. The cheapest blu ray player was $399.00 at Best Buy. So, you would have to buy a $349.00 360 + $399.00 blu ray player, which ends up costing you $748.00. But even if you go this route you still dont have blu ray on your gaming system. We all know that as games get more advanced and gain better graphics game developers would have to go to blu-ray to get that space that they would need. That is why I think the majority of game tittles will make its way over to the PS3. If the 360 is to compete they would have to cut cost even more, which is not good since the 360 already is a financial burden fon Microsoft. If they decided to offer a blu-ray player attachment they would be at the mercy of Sony. Sony could keep the price of the 360 up with the control of the pricing of their blu-ray technology.

This blu-ray victory is going to dume the 360. I believe that tittles will flock to the PS3 as the year goes by. It may even take two years, but it is going to happen. I see the Wii to continue to dominate the low cost fun family oriented gaming and I see the PS3 dominate the more advanced gaming industry. Which, leaves no market for the 360. Can you say Dreamcast repeat? People will decide to buy the PS3 to get the combination of the next generation gameing platform and for the Blu ray dvd capability. As this happens you will see more and more game developers developing games for the PS3 exclusively.

I got it 5 days ago and I got to say that I am fully addicted to it. I love it! The games that I have played so far Ninja Gaiden, Lair, and Rainbow 6. Even with my tube tv I can tell the sepriority of graphics that the PS3 offers. I plan to get my network set up so I can access my video and music from my computer. I am so glad I finally got it.

Im glad to see that Microsoft is no longer able to hide the fact that the 360 is inferior to the PS3. All the hype is beginning to diminish with major events such as the blockbuster decision, extended warranty to cover a defective problem in the 360, lower price for a PS3 and now a huge profit loss. Now that the hype is no longer strong I believe that people will now start to realize that all along the PS3 did have all this unused power. We will now start seeing developers making games specifically for the PS3, as more PS3 units are sold. Lets face it, right now the developers are going where they can sell more copys. This is business and yes one has to fail or both systems will continue to get mediocre games that were not built for one specific system. This problem would be avoided if the PS3 and the 360 were similar in developing games for. But, they are not. The PS3 will continue to sell strong and will eventually have more units sold than the 360 in the near future. Then we will see developers stop being lazy and really learn how to develop games that take advantage of the PS3's power (like the cell processor), because that will be where they can sell more copys. The PS3 has always been better, but Microsoft has been able to hide that with Halo, more exclusive games, and with a cheaper price. But, that is no longer going to be the case. So, the PS3 will benifit from it's true qualities which is true gaming power thatblows awaythe 360's power.

GS: What's it been like working on the PlayStation 3 for the first time?

BF: For us, the most exciting part of the PS3 has been the cell processor, the SPUs specifically. In our highest density scenes right now, we are currently using about 30 percent of the SPUs' capabilities--with the SPUs doing lots of heavy lifting for us on rendering, visibility, particle systems, skinning, animation blending, and so on...this with scores of pedestrians, cars, fires, etc., all going on. And the best part? We've not made any significant attempts to even optimize the SPU code. I think it's reasonable to guess we could put 10 times as much stuff on the SPUs and still make our frame budgets. It's really pretty amazing.

It was really good. It was much better than the last two. I'm not a huge freak about it, heck I dont even read the books. I just enjoy the movies. The story line has gotten much darker. The fun and laughing are over with as evil is getting stronger. I recommend this movie to anyone. You will enjoy it.

We have will have ample supplies of both models to meet the needs of our consumers for the foreseeable future." Apparently the confusion arose from Sony Europe's David Reeves explaining that if they cut the 60GB price in Europe, they'd run out of stock in Europe by the end of July. So, false alarm people, please resume buying / not buying your $499 60GB PS3s in an orderly manner."

Thats a lot of money, but it is worth it as I have collected some great games over the years. I still have all of them too. I hate trading in games, because you never get close to what the game is actually worth.

Today I learned that Sony will no longer make the 60 gig version, which was recently discounted to $499. Now the Sony fans will only be able to take advantage of this price cut for one more month. After that we will only be stuck with the $599 PS3. I know that it has 20 gigs more and Motor Storm. But, to me those added features are not worth $100 more. Then to top today off, I learn that Haze and Unreal Tournament are only "time exclusive" to the PS3. So, basically they are not exclusive at all to the PS3.

Today we learned that Haze and Unreal Tournament 3 are going to be PS3 exclusives. This is great new since Haze looks like it will dominate the first person shooter games this year. Also, Unreal Tournament being exclusive to the PS3 is a slap in the face for Microsoft. Microsoft was unable to hold on to this great tittle and Sony will capitalize on this great move.

MGS4 is going to stay exclusive, so stop worrying.
