Well, I've done what I never thought I'd ever do. I purchased a XBOX 360. So now, I have a Playstation 3, and a XBOX 360. The idea came about when I wanted to build my own PC. Nothing beats a well built PC. However, I am currently unemployed and living on campus at college. Hurray for college!!! :D

I currently have Forza 2 and Project Gotham 3. I'm looking to buy HALO reach, Black ops, and Mass Effect series. But, examine the picture again... I have no TV lol I will try to purchase one tomorrow... well... i sorta got a date tomorrow.... so maybe that television will just have to wait 8)

I am currently in college and living on campus with only a PSP and Nintendo DS. The problem is, I can't unleash the hardcore gamer inside of me without a powerful console. Therefore, I am deciding to trade my DS Lite in for an XBOX 360. The question is, which type should I get?

This is the arcade edition. It has no hard drive, but it is the cheapest of the three.

This is the Pro edition. It has a hard drive.

This is the elite edition. It is basically what i want but can't afford. I just posted the picture because it's cool :)

The only way i can purchase these are used because I lack the necessary funds [currency wise]. Plus, i need games, a television, and a XBOX Live Gold membership. So that's a lot of money I have to fork over. Trading my PSP is out of the question. Of course all of my big purchases can't be completed without the opinions of my Gamespot friends. Yes please give me your two pennies on the matter.

I think I may buy a Pokemon game. It's one of the only few games you can get your money's worth on a DS. It will also give me something to do until Golden Sun DS comes out. I will be playing the original Golden Sun all next week. I will give a review on that once I finish.

UPDATE:

I am on Chapter 8 on Final Fantasy XIII. I will review Final Fantasy XII and XIII. You maybe shocked at my reviews and scores. Compared to all of the other Final Fantasy games, I say XII is THE most underrated Final Fantasy game.

Today, my Co-Worker gave me a DS Lite. She told me a week ago that she had a handheld system that did not catch her interest. She was more of a Playstation person 8) (HA TAKE THAT DS FANBOYS!!!) So she gave it to me. It only needed a charger and it had Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in it. So I traded it in for Golden Sun: The Lost Age. So I was out of $17 bucks today because I bought a charger and Golden Sun. Any suggestions on games or accessories?

Tuesday, I purchased Battlefield Bad Company 2. The multiplayer is great. I have never seen a franchise that rewards individuals so much for teamwork. It isn't like Modern Warfare 2, where the game rewards you for being the lone wolf and carry the team. There's no such thing as a tactical nuke on Bad Company 2. It's all teamwork.

Well, if you have any suggestions on games for the DS let me know. Remember I am a budget gamer, so if its new, i'm probably not gonna buy it.

If you have been keeping up with my news feed, I purchased Dissidia Final Fantasy about a week ago. It's a very good game, but the best feature by far is the replay converter.

As you can see, this video shows up pretty clear. This is the video converted at standard quality. I owned Sephiroth but I'm only lvl 15 and he was set at lvl 10 :lol: What? I can't look bad on gamespot!! I will post a few more videos on Squall's story lines. They will only be battles, mainly because I don't have the equipment and the story is just horrible. However, the gameplay is excellent and Squall is my favorite player (followed by Sephiroth). Well, look for my review. I will try to update my blog as much as possible.

I finally purchased Peace Walker today!!! And I got the Premium Bandana that Gamestop packaged with it :lol: (Like I'm actually gonna use it.) So I'm gonna play it and tell everyone how it is, which will probably be my next blog post :D!!

Co-Op, one feature I probably won't be able to take advanatage of...

First, I graduated from my community college to receive an Associates Degree in Science. It basically means that I can transfer to an accredited university as a Junior instead of a sophomore :D. I started college when I was a Junior back in high school, so I am glad to see all my hard work paying off (well, some of it... my job is terrible).

Second, I traded all of my tomb raider games just to get credit for them. Today was the big buy. I bought Final Fantasy IX for .95 cents. McKays claimed that it was scratched but the only noticable scratches I saw were on disc 4. It didn't seem to bad at all. It shouldn't much of a problem for a buffer to get those scratches off.

Third, i plan on purchasing either an XBOX 360 or a PC. I found an XBOX 360 for $120. Either one of those would be very useful going to college. I don't think I will be taking my 60GB PS3, in which I paid $460 for it, out of town to college. If something tragic were to happen to it, I would be devastated. I did find a few steals at my new game store now. This store called McKays had Halo 3 and Modern Warfare for 5 bucks. That's an unbeatable price.

Now that i'm out for the summer, I will continue to post blogs and update everyone on what's going on. Trust me, my blogs can't get anymore boring than this lol :lol: Well, Peace Walker comes out next month!! Go get it!!!

Today I made an investment of a lifetime. It wasn't a long term investment, more like spur of the moment investment. I traded two games and got Final Fantasy XIII for about $30. I popped in the game about 30 minutes ago and I was amazed at the visuals. What I don't understand is the heavy criticism given in the game. Therefore, I'm giving you my first impressions of the game.

First off, what final fantasy game didn't start linear? The storyline has to be linear in order to know the plot of the story and where to begin. This isn't Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. This is Final Fantasy. The game reminds me of Final Fantasy X and the characters from all the previous versions. Lightning reminds me of Ashe, but not as gentle. Snow reminds me a lot of Zell from Final Fantasy VIII. Vanille reminded me a lot of Rikku and Hope of Vaan. I may have left out a few characters but I'm only on Chapter 2.

The batlle system hasn't changed. It isn't complex by any means. Your team members have set Gambits and you only control one party member. Like always, except for in XII, you have to account for other party members. As far as attacking, its like using 2x in Final Fantasy VII or double cast in Final Fantasy X. Its a chain. Well, I'm gonna play as much as I can on Spring Break so I'm outta here!!

I beat modern warfare 2, well, the campaign. In all honesty, it was challenging. I can't get used to the curser movement, but its an adjustment that'll come with experience. I'm gonna play the campaign again. The story is good, but I need to play the campaign from the first one. Considering not many people will play it online, I'm better off renting it lol Well, I collected some trophies from campaign, but I'm gonna go back and play on another difficulty level to get the others. I'm also about to start online play, so add me. I got 700 my first go round so i'm looking to improve my scores.

Oh yeah and if you haven't played it yet, riot shields=trouble. So make sure you have frags and use them wisely. Other wise you'll end up in a world of hurt :( lol
