It definetly lives up to at least 95% of all the hype that surrounded its pre-release. Given, like all games, it is not 100% perfect but it is the closest a Zelda title has come in my opinion to date. I dont want to give away the areas that could have been ironed out a little better since you havnt played it yet, but having said that, these shortcomings are exactly that; short and very miniscule in the big picture. This game is definatly worth the wait and will not disapoint any Zelda fan, or any adventure game fan for that matter. I havnt played the GCN version yet, but having beat and gathered every sidequest item in the Wii version of TP I can garantee you that this game shows us why we should never go back to the normal controls. I does, however, take a little getting used to(sword combat in paticular) but once you get past the learning curve it becomes very satisfying.
There are light arrows, but only zelda can use them. Otherwise, you can only use normal or bomb arrows, neither of which use a magic meter. Actually there is no magic meter in TP at all.
50 hours and just entering the 6th dungeon. So far I have the biggest wallet, all 4 bottles, 36 poes, 13 heart containers, two bomb bags and the 60 arrow quiver.
I'm at 23 hours and just entered the 3rd dungeon. Im going slow and taking in everything that I can so that it drags out for as long as possible. I didn't just wait for two years to speed through it in less than 60 hours.
It'll definately be tough for all those waiting for TP and are unfortunate enough to get a Wii on launch day. Sure hope i'm not one of those unfortunate individuals.
No offense, but I think you are freaking out over nothing. Blood here and there is not going to ruin the feel or the atmosphere of the game. I mean, it's only "T", it's not like it's rated "M" and is going to have blood around every corner like R.E.4(damn good game by the way). This game will propably be recognized as the best ever, if not second best after OoT, Zelda title because of its story, control scheme, and sheer imensity of items and landscape to cover. And if you still cant get over it, you're no different than those who said they didnt like WW because it didnt tailor to their every liking.
