The Softball One

Hihi, it's Jamie Lynn again. Hopefully, you guyz aren't bored of me yet, considering that this is only my 2nd blog post, lol. But, even if you are, I just played an AWESOME softball game. We won 14-1, and I scored 3 times. We were home, and I played shortstop for the 1st half of the game. I made a pretty sweet play there. It was hit to me and I threw to first before the runner was halfway down the baseline. That was the third out(the first 2 were K's).The first time I hit, I hit a stand up double OVER the left fielder's head, but I was leadoff so it didn't matter as much (:() Then Miriah hit a single that I could go on (since it wasn't a force on me) so I got to 3rd. Then, my bestest bud, Claire(the RBI MACHINE!!!) hit me home, and Miriah stole on an overthrow. So, yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah, we went out into the field again and had an almost perfect inning, the pitcher, Chloe(Claire's twin, also one of my bestest bud :)), walked one person, and then we got 2 K's and one tag play at first. We got some great hits, and I hit a grounder that went behind the shortstop that got me a single. Out in the field, I played right field(which is like my ALL TIME favorite position that I finally got to play!!!) so, not a lot happened there but I helped make an out when I backed up the first baseman. Again, 2 K's and that one out at first. I didn't get to hit this time around, but my team hit GREAT!!!!!! Madeleine hit a stand-up double, Rachel hit a single and stole, and Jamie Dailey hit a single to let Madeleine score. We went out in the field again and did the SAME EXACT THING!!!! Only, they got one run on a steal. So, we went back in to hit again and I got another single to the first baseman that really should've been taken care of by the second, so no one was covering first. Again, my team hit amazingly and we won because of the mercy rule. Only four innings, and this is only our second win!!! I hope, obviously, that we can continue this(today we didn't have our normal coach so my daddy, the assistant coach, managed the team, and MacKenna, the chick who got stitches that I told you about in the first post, couldn't play). So, ya, I'm very very very proud of my team, cuz usually some of the girls have a really hard time getting focused. But, today everyone was focused and ready to play some serious softball. I hope that we can keep this up!!!!! Bibi for now :)
