Thanks for the help guys. I've got another nooby question though.

When you say uninstall drivers, do you mean i should uninstall the program? for example go to add/remove and delte the ATI program and reinstall it afterwards, is that it?

Hello everyone.

I bought team fortress 2 about 3 days ago.

Why am i on gamspot instead of playing it you ask?

Well i'm having a major bummer. Whenever i log in to play it says that my video driver needs to be updated and it gives me a link to my product vendor.

The said company is ATI and my Toshiba Satellite pro A100 is equipped with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1600.

My problem is that their update is not compatible with my Toshiba, so i can't update my video driver. Which means that i cannot play Team fortress properly.

Can anybody out there give me a tip on how i can update my driver?

Thanks for your help guys.

Thanks for responses guys. I have been patient though and it ends up taking so long that i get timed out. My driver is outdated though is that a possible problem? i have literally turned of the firewall for a while to check the problems famiiguy, and are these descriptions steps to make steam work or Team fortress. Steam works fine.

Hi all just got a few questions concerning team fortress in general.

1. Gamespot says that it is really expensive. Are they comparing its price to orange box or has it got an expensive playing fee (if any)

Now for 2 noobie tech questions.

2. my system is:ATI mobility radeon x1600 (512mb), 1.83 ghz, 1gig ram, dual core processor. Will it run ok?

3. Does playing online tax your internet cap if you play about 10 hrs per week? or does it tax it a lot in general)

Thanks for the help guys.

Interesting article, but kind of a back handded comment i a way. So if your'e expereinced and playing nintendo games, you must accpet that you're playing at "the entry level".

I get what the guy means and he is right, but it's not the difficulty that attracts the kids its the colourful characters and the friendly image.

Nintendo is still darn hard, half the kid's won't finish those games.
