Katamari Rolled, not Stirred!

I am barely able to communicate without contantly thinking of Katamaris. Just spent 7 straight hours with the latest game; We Love Katamari - so much rolling, so much King of All Cosmos, so insane right now! I've finished the first basic run-through of the game, not counting all the secondary missions all the fans have. But I rolled up enough to where I was able to complete the last level no problem.

This game in it's own way is so unlike the first one. I mean, you have the same basic premise, but it gets more complicated. The first Katamari Damacy was easier to handle, and all the levels were layed out nicely. A little awkward at times, but eventually you knew where everything was. So you could roll up between 90-98% of a level eventually.

We Love Katamari - not so much. The levels are so expansive. I don't think even if you learned where everything was you'd get to roll it all up, I don't see any way. And the largest level (similar to the make the world level of the last one) - it's HUGE! The biggest level in Katamari Damacy gave you 25 minutes to get 300M. No big deal really, and eventually I topped out somewhere around 890M as the absolute largest I could get rolling up everything.

We Love Katamari's biggest level gives you 17 minutes to get 500M. So it's more challenging to say the least, and if it's your first experience with the game, it's not going to go so well. Especially since when new areas open up for you to access, you don't quite know where they end. This level kept going and going and going. Seriously, it's ENORMOUS!!! I ended up with a Katamari size of 2,300+M and I couldn't have rolled up more than 70% of the level at most. There were still so many objects left, and some so large I couldn't even roll them up at that size. Hopefully I can work on moving a bit faster, I must have the biggest Katamari there is!

Also, quick note before I get back into it. My favorite new level is the racetrack. All the new quirky theme levels are great, but having the Katamari racing at top speeds just slightly out of your control as you are trying to grab objects left and right. Funnest Thing Ever!

Oh... I hear the fans calling me. Must get back to it! Vrrooooom!!!
